Added Tommy Angelo's "Elements of Poker" to the collection (has not arrived yet, however).

AG could you please post a pic of your poker library?

Sure. Crappy phone camera is all I have, but here you go:

Top two shelves are "short" of books because I have other crap on them:
Top shelves

bottom two are "full" at just over four feet (each) in length:
Bottom shelves

My shelves are fancy: spray painted cinder blocks with planks of wood!

That's one nice collection!

thanks!

I'm working on it... I have read the majority; however they are publishing them too quickly for me to keep up! Combine that with some of the older/rarer ones I found and picked up in Vegas, and I still have some work to do.

That's just poker?!?!

Yep. I have a nice collection of books in general too (I was a lit major in college)-- someday when I'm rich I want an actual "library" room.

Thanks for mentioning my poker novel, Texas Poker Wisdom, by Johnny Hughes. I write both fiction and non-fiction. Many of my stories are available free on my web site JohnnyHughes.com

I just discovered this web site because of the book list. Right off, I noticed the spelling of favourite and knew I was among Englishman. I definately, more than anything, want to visit England to play poker in some future years. There is an Englishman in my book who lives and plays in downtown Las Vegas. I would have posted a brief excerpt from Texas Poker Wisdom, if that is allowed. I would, of course, like to know what Englishmen think of my dialog.

In my next book, there is an Englishman, well known for his millions of posts on the web. He comes to West Texas for poker, lots of weird prob bets, all forms of gambling, and finally he is a murder suspect.

I'm from Lubbock, Texas home of Buddy Holly, Natalie Maines, and Joe Ely. I knew and played poker with Buddy both before and after he got famous. I was Joe Ely's first manager. Both had fantastic success in England. I am what you would call an Anglophile.

It's pretty good. It's really a "home game" book, as the title suggests. You probably wont have much use for the five card draw and stud sections unless you play a home game where they are dealt, but his opening sections have good discussions of things like ev, pot control, and card reading, and other important topics.
