Playing online, if you get money on a site you are playing. Cashing out you might have trouble with, being to young. If you can get to the casino and have the funds to play, who would stop you? Are you at you're best when playing, when loose some mental advantages. No, but again who will stop you.

Don't have a problem with someone playing, if they don't hinder the game. Their prerogative to do with money or time as they see fit.

I definitely think it can help the brain. More on the online environment though where there are less distractions for your brain. Our brains are wired to see what we're looking for first which causes us to miss things we aren't looking for.

It sure helps, but I'm pretty sure the other way around is more fructuous. More exactly : An already well trained brain is going to give you good advantages in poker over other players..

Over the last few years especially, for me the mind training benefits of poker have been noticeable.

In my opinion everyone, young and old, can benefit from learning and playing poker.

The microcosm-esque nature of the game has become more and more apparent to me and it holds many valuable lessons.

I agree that the effect of age in poker is not so obvious! Nevertheless, from 2 players of equal skill I think preimushestv will have younger!

Poker by itself doesn’t help, anyone can decide to call, raise or fold. The process of becoming a good poker player requires to develop skills, such as discipline, concentration, math. And developing a strategy puts your brain to work. So is the process to be successful is what helps your brain.

Sadly poker is not a brain game, like the chess is for example.
Poker develops other virtues, like patience and cold calculus (not going into rage). These rather are personality traits than brain training.

Hello guys.

I think the age have a little difference because you need to use memory to remember how some person in table plays, and for remember some cards.

And the more yongs players have more facility to remember poker plays have bean seen.

when playing poker, memory is enhanced and logical thinking is developed. But at the same time, the game is tiring. Are there age restrictions?Your opinion.

If everything is okay with health, then there are no age restrictions. Naturally, poker improves thinking. But only if you think about each decision, taking into account the observation of recent actions of the opponent in order to read his game.

The game of poker is welcomed for players of any generation from 18 and older, only if you are not sick on the head 😉 Alfiyka, but how old are you, if it's not a secret? 😉😆😚

I believe that what influences most is logical thinking.
The matter of being very tiring depends on your energy state. If you take care of your health, you will always have plenty of room!;)

Absolutely but NO age restrictions

First of all, there is absolutely no age limit on playing poker. They only time age should be a factor is when you are playing with real money, then the players should all be the 'age of majority' in their residing county. Otherwise, it is a game for anyone.

Secondly, poker is definitely a great way to accomplish 'brain training' as long as the same principles are applied that you would when doing any other type of 'brain training' activity/exercise. The participant must be well rested and relaxed. When you are tired or stressed, the training will be counter-productive.

if you only play freeroll, there is no restrictions in my oppion. But, in other situations, you have to analyze. I think that it not nice to have a nice brain and a empty pocket.

Poker definitely helps to train your brain as it develops logical thinking, sharpens your awareness and helps you perform calculations faster. I do not think that there are age restrictions - as long as your brain is undamaged you can play at the same level like before and there are people who preserve their mind in good condition till the end of their life (even being close to 100 years old). We all know what Doyle Brunson says - "We don't stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing". And he is definitely the proof that this is indeed true. :)

As the game itself include money with deposit on net or ID card for live for sure there must be restrictions. Young person can work at vacation when they are not in school and get some money from it, but why to spend on gambling ? When you are on yourself and have funds which are yours and don't disturb anybody if that money are lost you can play. When you consider yourself as a grow and responsible person you can build your way. Depends on which field you want to evaluate. Making risking bets, or amazing calls can build your believing in yourself even more for different situations true life decisions, also making a fold even when you think that you are unbeatable is good to exercise your patience and set your limit for one step further, it will need that in your life also in ours for sure. Making right decisions that will change your stack, your position and sure your money balance and doing that again and again, is strategy that you must work on it in order to make you a better player. Learning and doing that will help you for dealing with situations in life in which there is no room for error. So poker is quite good for climbing on harder and harder levels.

Yeah it's indeed good to control emotions and educate character.
But I think, especially in the beginning, that you are also training a bit your brain as you need to be able to remember a lot of stuff and recognize a lot of situations.
