Poker is Gambling. Chess is not. Therefore in Poker Luck plays a big amount on one’s success. If you are dealt AA, KK over & over there is little strategy. We see WSOP poker champions like Jamey Gold win one year & nothing after. When analyzing his hands he made hand after hand by luck.. there was little skill. So Poker is gambling-Luck plays a big part. Chess is skill, little to no luck involved

Pressing the buttons in the casino is a gambling game. In poker, as in any game, there are tactics and strategy. If you have knowledge, you will get results.

Yes I agree. Short distance poker is luck. One won tournament is not an indicator of a good level of play.

Poker is not just betting, you have to beat your opponent even if you have the worst hand and that is called strategy

You said it yourself, he won a tournament with luck, nothing more...

Luck only works in the short term, in the long term it dissipates and only those who have skill remain.

The Lucky fator only speaks in the short term.. if you get only one tournament, even the big ones, yes, luck is there.. but when you see a few names always there there would need to be one BIG bucket of luck for those guys, so, skills are way more impacting on their results then luck.. BTW.. poker is not winning all games, but profiting in the most part of it..
