Mate, if this is true, and Im beginning to believe it is, the way you keep coming back, then can't you get a loan, new card, etc, etc. I got into debt of £7000 a few years ago(not poker/blackjack-related(not even I'm that bad), I did some stupid things when I was young) and managed to get a loan for part of it and a new credit card for the rest, now I've paid them off.
But to lose $6000 on blackjack? Hello? what stakes were you playing? gamble what you can afford mate, its the only way. I put £60 in a fruit machine(slots) the other day in real life, not online, won £250 and put it all back in in the next machine. I walked away, kicked myself a few times, but hey, I could afford to lose it. Any money you gamble with, you have to write of as a lose straight away.

If you can lose $6k on Blackjack, it must be possible to make that much back again. You obviously just went through a run of bad luck. The best advice is to find another credit card, deposit another $6k and make big bets until you get to +$12k. Make sure you invest at least $1k on each bet though, as you need to increase your volatility so you're more likely to reach your target.

Alternatively as already mentioned, you could try roulette. If you bet $2000 on Red twice and win (investing the winnings from the first go in the second bet), that's all it takes to make $6000 profit. Of course there's only a 25% chance that this will work first time, but because it's a 25% chance, on average it should only take 2 gos. Which means $4000 invested on average for a $6000 average profit. Take the average profit from the average investment, repeat 3 times, and you've made your $6000 back, almost guaranteed.

An alternative strategy would be to go to borrow $60k from a trusted friend or relative. E.g. get a great aunt to remortgage (you could say you're setting up a business). Go back to roulette table. Don't do black or red because it's only a 50% chance of winning, but instead cover 90% of the numbers on the board with equal bets, and you'll either win back your $6k (90% chance), or lose the whole lot. If you're thinking of taking off to South America anyway, this doesn't matter too much, and there's only a 10% chance of this happening - you'd have to be REALLY unlucky to lose it all.

Good luck!

Hmm, maybe you're right. Found this on Wikipedia. I'm betting on black from now on!!

Betting Only on Red

One conceivable strategy would be to bet on the ball landing in a red space for a certain number of spins, for example, 38.
There are 18 red spaces on a roulette table with 38 total spaces. Dividing 18 by 38 yields a probability of landing on red of 47.37%. This probability can be used in a binomial distribution and made into an approximate standard normal distribution.
Doing so indicates that, if one were to spin the wheel 38 times, there is a 99% probability that the ball would land on red at least 10 times. There is an 83% probability that in 38 spins, the ball will land on red at least 15 times. Out of 38 spins, there's a 50% chance that 18 will be red.
However, the break-even point is 19 spins, since the bet on red is 2:1, and the probability of 19 red spins in 38 is only 37%. This indicates the difficulty of winning by only betting on red.
The results occur because, as indicated by the 18 divided by 38 equals 47.37% figure, the ball will land on red less than half the time. This percentage applied in the binomial and standard normal distributions creates the vast divide in probability from 18 red spins to 19 red spins out of 38 spins. Basically, it is very unlikely for anyone to spin much more than 18 red spins out of 38 spins.

Well, I just saw this thread and read through the whole thing! I first thought it was fake, but I am now thinking it might be real. Neveragain, Are you a young kid, like stated above? If you are the 6 grand is easy! You need to find a job and work your arse off. The 2 month payback period is bullshat! They can't and wont hold you to that. Get a pizza delivery job. Work six days a week. Make about $400 a week. 6,000/400 = 15 weeks. Thats about 3 and a half months! Make a $500 payment to them in 2 weeks so they know you are serious about paying it off! Thats a truthful answer from a truthful person.

Now if you are lying, Dorkus says "black" Bombjack says "RED". I say GREEN, there are 1 and sometimes 2 green numbers on the wheel! It's obviously the best odds for your money. I think 36-1 if I remember correctly, but its been a while! $3000 time 36 is $108,000!!!! If you hit I will be borrowing money from you!

if you really want to make it big, bet on the ball NOT landing on a number, but resting on a divider between 2 numbers. Odds for that are 1000-1, 1,000,000-1 if you can pick the 2 numbers it rests between. I'll lend you 10 cents, if you win you get $100,000, we'll split it 50-50, ok? sorted.

Black is win... When I took my trip to montreal with some buddies, we went to the casino.. lost like 20 bucks each on the slots.. then put $150 on black.... and won $150... we then left. (They had no poker tables )

Based on the first post I would have thought this was a lie/joke as well, but he's still going on about it. Either actually telling the truth or just very persistent.

How did you lose 6 GRAND though? I mean, after the first $500 lost, wouldn't you figure out it's time to stop and not dig yourself in any deeper? Or at least after the first $2000!?

Reminicent of Tuff Fish without the funny commentary.

I'm with Alon on this one.....B.S.

But listen guys,in about 2 weeks...my mortgage company, car dealership, phone company, cable company, internet company, electric and gas companies..etc,etc,etc will ALL be looking for me too...I'm scared shitless as well,do you think they will send Tony Soprano after me or Donald Rumsfield?????

If you using your words have a bullshit job making $400 a week, how did you manage to acquire a $6k UNSECURED loan...Give me that name again,I could use a few thousand to play poker on too....Unsecured?..I'm not running anywhere!

But again,I think Alon is right on this one...it smells. It's just sooo unbelievable to be true...You might be able to make some money by selling your story to the National Enquirer though!

$6000 is a lot of money-I know NO ONE will lend you money like that without
1. Social Security #
2. A contract/promissory note
3. A signature (pen and paper/electronic)

If you never gave any of these things (especially a signature), the contract IS NOT VALID.

Also, when it comes to gambling I always live by the rules:
Only spend what you can afford to lose
Never rob Peter to pay Paul

Actually the best way to make $6000 is to write a poker spy program and sell it on eBay. This is guranteed to bring in the dough.

One of my friends did something like this. Well he's not my friend anymore ...but thats a story for another day. He raked up about $3000 on his mom's credit card playing poker and blackjack. The sad part is he doubled the money then lost half and spent the other half on drugs.

Here's the thing. This is fraud. And a felony at that. Anyone who makes a transaction using their checking account then closes that account in an attempt to stop payment is in deep trouble. This may even be enough to qualify for grand theft. You are so screwed. You will never be able to open another account. You're best bet is to try to contact party poker or whoever you defrauded and plead complete and utter stupidity and pray they let you make payments...but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

I hate to be harsh, but not only are you a self-proclaimed "idiot", but you're also a crook. And while it's obvious you need help from a serious gambling problem and you should get help, I don't feel sorry for you, because you knew what you were doing was wrong and illegal. (If this even really happened.)
