I am particularly pleased with this win because I had a decidedly average run of cards. There was only one time in the tournament where I was all in (when I had aces) and i won less than expected coinflips. I don't recall ever sucking out. I just feel like overall I played pretty well, and a surprising number of others didn't play the structure very well. Thanks for all who railed. :)

From what I saw, you played awesome, a couple pots where you must have had really good reads on a few people. Calling big bets with a marginal hand.

Deep in another tournament this time, this time its a teeny tiny HORSE event. 250 buyin, I'm currently in 6 of 15 remaining out of a field of 467.

For those who have been wondering, I hit a severe downswing and got down to about 900k chips over about 4k hands. I didn't want to post until I got it back up, which I now have to just over 3 million chips.

Final tabled!! After 30 minutes with 9 people left...

I'm really dominated in the LHE sessions, and I'm now in 3rd of 8.

Edit: make that 2nd of 8

Been an interesting read so far, as I just joined and found this forum with a Google search for tracking play money stats (go figure). I see that question asked a few times but the OP (jamesdadeliverer) never specifically provided one, and as I'm mostly dealing with play money stuff (waste of time but, hey, with the info gleaned from this thread alone I'm about to kick it up a notch), I'd still like to know what he's using to track the stats, or create the graphs.

If it's that PokerDominator site, then I missed the reference but I'll do more research.

One thing however: I can't seem to figure out where that FTP 500K "free" to cash thing is. I'm staring at the tourney screens and I can't see anything that looks like it's the right one that's been mentioned here so far ($500K+ play money buy-in, payout is what, a few bucks for 1st place, like $5 I think). Would be seriously interested in going for those, but I swear, I can't find the damned thing on FTP.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks, and have fun, always...

DOH!!! Not even 60 seconds later I found it... DOH!!! ;)

The question: Are you referring to the software he's using to track and graph his play? If I had to take a guess I'd say it was "Poker Copilot".

Thank you James!

I find this story quite inspirational.

I've been trying to win the mongo freerolls for ages now, but I really like the idea of building up a play chip stash and playing in some tourneys. At least that way I could always be looking at my progress from week to week.

On another note, was the final word that pokerdominator wouldn't work for play money?

good luck man. a few months ago, i tried getting up to a million in play chips on full tilt. After a few days and hours of playing i had made 200k and decided to use my full bankroll in high stakes. It took me ten minutes to blow it all

bankroll management is the the big key to this venture. if you can learn good BRM it will take you far. there not just playchips but how you keep score. if it were real money its the same thing how you keep score.
