200NL 6max session didn't go so well. Doesn't help when villain always has the top of their range. Feels like I will never be at 200NL cuz every time i go up i start losing and i don't like losing that much at one time. Even though its only 2.5 BIs, thats a lot of damn money to a poor college kid.

Just haven't got much time in this month :(

Hopefully I'll get to put in some hands in the next couple weeks, but the time I've gotten in has been all right.

yet, isn't it tiny compared to your bankroll?

Anyway, it's not a good idea to play at a level where you actually think about the value of money. it screws up your play

My Bank account is tiny compared to my Poker BR, lol. And yea, the $500 doesn't bother me too much. I didn't even get mad cuz it was just cooler after cooler and nothing I could do about it. I know I can win it back almost as fast as I lost it, but the thought of regular 1-2k downswings is kind of crazy.

I suck at poker.
BR is almost completely wiped out, about $24 left and I imagine those will disappear soon enough..
Are you still playing 5nl? Multi-tabling or just 1 table? Are these all coolers and bad beats or are you making a lot mistakes?

Maybe you should A) Drop down to 2nl. We can do a sweat session sometime for 2nl if you like. B) Stop multi-tabling so many tables. And/or C) Both.

It's been a nice weekend. Moved back from 6max to FR for variety and it sometimes feels like shooting fish in a barrel.

A mix of 2/3rd 50NL and 1/3r 100NL hands. Ran at about 16BB/100 at both stakes. :D

Played the million too, lated under half an hour, AK < KK AIPF. $450 prize from warmup, $430 paid in entry fees, $20 profit for 4 hours, $5/hour isn't bad :).

i ended up 200BB's down over 1.5k hands :(. Worst i've ever ran in my life

going 1-7 with aces, 0-6 with kings and 3-6 with queens didnt help the loss rate. Neither did set over set, 3 full houses over full houses, nut flush into quads, a,k losing to 3,7 aipf, going 0-4 on flopped combo draws and have top and 3rd pair run into top 2.

oh ye also 3 time i flopped top pair king into laggy players who raise any pair in limit who happened to be holding aces

life sucks

(and i got coolered to bust in the team event aswell just to make it even better)

seriously, 1 out in the deck to hit the turn that will make you get it all-in bad, and it hits

bounty events are so rigged

woo and this will be the first month I'll actually reach platinum. It's sad, I know, but I can finally see SN by the end of this year (I think 37k more 1/2nl hands and I'm good).

Well it makes no difference whatsoever what the swings are if you look at the big picture. If you're winning consistently at 200nl, you'll be in the 3k+ months like it's nothing.

Move up, stop thinking about the money, and play your game. I know you're good enough, do it up! :)

Tourneys: $5/hour

Cash: see attachment

**** tourneys imo :)

Serious note. My last three months in the pic. Aug was almost all 100nl. Sept was almost all 200nl. This month has been 100nl hu and 200nl 6max.

Even through this month's tilt and bad runs, I'm averaging $78/hr over that whole sample.

Someone tell me why the **** I would ever even consider a career in trades or whatever when I play slightly more than a full work week of poker in a month and make more than I would working my ass off 24/7???

**** real jobs imo :)

'cause in the trades your boss will make you actually put in the hours but in poker you have to make yourself do it?

:)

Just giving you a hard time Chuck. I know you've put a lot of effort into improving your game and I'm happy for your results.

God Rex, please hand over some of your luck.

Played 800ish hands so far. -almost 3buyins, AA cracked twice, KK once, and my one and only set lost.
