there is sporting interest in tournaments, I like this better, plus the winnings relative to the bet (entry into the tournament)

When I'm playing well, cash is profitable. You must find a table that suit your game. Don't stay if it's a table full of tight aggresive player. It can be deadly

I don't think there is a clear answer. it depends on the individual. if you can play long tourment or cash. also depends on your bankroll

For me tournaments are much better than cash games, cause from my personal experience there are many skilled players in cash games.
Tournaments are often fullfilled by beginners or semi-professionals and in the first 15 mins after late registration they drop like flies.
You have to double your stack 3-4 times, then play passive (don't check until you have good hand like pair of KK) and in about an hour you can get paid seats.

Not one of the two, you have to know when to play, when luck is on your side, otherwise you're going to lose, no matter how much you study, as some people say,

Both options are profitable for a good player.

I play poker just for fun, but between the two alternatives, I believe it would be difficult for me to be a professional cash game player.

The game is very mechanical and much less exciting than tournaments, so I would hardly be able to maintain focus and discipline.

I think that MTT tournaments are the most profitable discipline in poker. But you need to spend more time on tournaments and you need to have more patience, unlike cash games. You can play a tournament for many hours and make just one mistake, and everything you did up to that point will not make any sense. However, if you make it to the final table in a major tournament with a large buy-in, the pleasure and adrenaline you get will not compare to what you get in cash games. The psychology of the game in these two disciplines is very different from each other. In my opinion, playing tournaments is more interesting than cash games.

Most profitable in the sense of profit per time spent is definetely playing cash games against wales.
No tournament or sng will ever hit big enough roi %.

This is the right answer and has always been.

Soon there will only be Live Cash games left if you want to earn a good living playing poker.

I don't understand how so many people can think they have such a great edge in MTTs. Not even the best players in the world have a big edge if the structure isn't super deep and super slow (and that means the tournament plays as a cash game for a longer time.) Going all-in with less than 20BB isn't a difficult skill.

Hello, depending on which modality you like to play, you can win money in both, the strategies change for both, if you are starting out I recommend studying one of the two, and because of the tournaments in the community I recommend you start with tournaments. greetings

if you don't have much time to play poker, cash games are for you where you can earn good money in a short time, but if you have time you can win a large sum of money in a tournament if you go very far and rank high in a good tournament, you will immediately earn a great amount of money at a time

The question should be FOR YOU, what is more profitable?

What happens is that there are very good players who do well in cash and not in tournaments or the opposite.

For example
In athletics, there are runners who are great at 200 meters but don't do very well at 400 meters.
Everything goes according to what you feel most comfortable with, what you like and what suits you best.

It all depends on the availability of free time. If you don't have enough time, you can also enter the cache.

I love playing in tournaments, I think it's very mixed though. I've definitely made more money off of tournaments myself, but you can gain a lot fast if you're hitting the tables well in cash games.

what one make you rich?
Tournament big prize but long and long time, why you choose that style?
I believe tournaments are more profitable because of their solid prize money. I don't consider cash games to be faster. There you can also sit in about the same range of chips for an hour or two. :)

Cash is a game, when I have a limited time, but the tournament is more serious with a great profit.

I think its the best for you to combine the two. They kind of complement each other. But i myself always play tourneys, because of the freerolls, that way I cant lose any money.
