Luck is 70 % of poker
Such a notion is foolish and incorrect. You are volunteering to be blind to your situation and also telling everyone you are okay with being oblivious to the obvious.
To reiterate again, my basis is there are no professional "luck" players - only those with a much deeper understanding of the game who work nonstopped increasing their overall win rate and maximizing ROI. This makes them winning players - CONSISTENTLY winning i might add.
You can believe what you want - and in all honesty while preaching to you guys to understand this is a game largely based on skill - i want the majority if you to remain stubborn and ignorant believing that most of the game is luck - because that will print me $$ at the end of the day lol. Thats just the reality of the situation.
The best players in the world don't win because they are the luckiest gus/gals at the tables - they win because of their skill edge. Now what is a skill edge? Bear in mind I am no professional nor am I one of the winning-est players in the world - but my understanding of my level should provide some sufficient examples. Such as::
*Understanding range advantage - this allows me to play particular spots rather than my own cards.
*ICM spots - knowning when to push/fold or call off properly will print you money in the long term. Many MANY players in the lower stakes online are far too tight and far too loose in these areas.
*Proper bet sizing - allows me to apply maximum pressure while risking the minimum - gets me maximum value from my strong hands - this can make a huge difference in deep tournament runs.
Anyhow - there are many more things that play into this game - these are just quick off the top examples and why they make a difference. Winning the pots where you flop well or make a monster hand is easy - winning all the hands you are not supposed to and making better hands fold - thats where the difference is made.
