C9, you recommend Absolute Poker? I'm really only interested in playing HU Cash and I saw they have a good amount of lower limit selections.

Figure I can get rakeback there too. You know if they still void your rakeback on % of rake taken for the BBJ?

Yeah, BBJ rake isn't counted towards your rakeback, since its technically EV neutral. But yeah, I like playing there.

tbh i don't know exactly all of what they did to me. it was intralase which is all-laser LASIK, so they don't use a metal blade or anything to cut the flap in your cornea. but there was some stuff going on, something they pretty much put around my eyeballs i think to keep me from blinking. my eyes were numbed though so there wasn't any pain, just pressure. and then all the actual vision corrective stuff is done via laser

i don't think it'd be possible to be knocked out for it because you have to keep your eyes focused on a blinking light. i was kinda scared i was gonna go blind or something if i screwed up and looked the other way

it was a pretty weird experience but not painful. they might have done some stuff to my eyeballs that i'm unaware of, i'd rather keep it that way

Seriously ? I have this for free on my health insurance plan, then someone told me that they stuff cotten wool into your eye hole. I have a bit of a phobia about eye shit.

Did they do that ? Can you get totally knocked out for it ? FFS I;d be able to handle my arm being cut off before that iirc

skoldpadda is an eye surgeon, he probably knows what happens.

Although the video he did he used a scalpel, so maybe he doesn't do laser. Cool vid, for those without a weak stomach for such things.

WTF? lol

Do you two know each other? As in played with each other enough to know each other's playing style, betting patterns, etc?

How did you feel after he called the 3rd barrell?

I'm guessing that if he bothered to make it, that last bit of jam on the river was for value, so he felt like he wont an extra 15 bucks. That is all sorts of crazy.

Never played with him before. Had 35 hands on him at the time and he was 85/0/2 at the time. I had however seen him SD several times and he had never bet when he had anything and I'd seen him flop trips once before and check it the entire way. I'd also seen him get caught bluffing twice.

The only thing I was afraid of when he called the shove was KQ or maybe like pocket deuces.

I'm guessing that if he bothered to make it, that last bit of jam on the river was for value, so he felt like he wont an extra 15 bucks. That is all sorts of crazy.

I raised the river because I thought I had the best hand AND because I wanted him to fold his missed draws so the rest of the table wouldn't get to see my hand. I also had the mistaken belief that he might fold KQ or a small pocket pair.

That would've crossed my mind too - how'd the rest of that table session play out?

I ended up down like $80 on that table. Should be noted that I had lost $100 to the same villain with KK to his AA prior to the hand I posted. He limp/called preflop and C/C the whole way down.

seriously, why is it important to win at showdown, BS? I'm happy to take a pot down anywhere, they don't get to see my hands, right?

Honestly i'd settle with breaking even at SD and earning my NSD. I've been playing great poker all day but I've been destroyed in all in pots and preflop coolers. Over the last 15k hands I'm break-even with a range of {AK,QQ+} which usually contributes 5 BB/100 to my overall win-rate. It's quite frustrating, tbh.

yeah he had AJ, must have been pretty happy when he rivered the J, pretty good to get paid off with a royal, I was thinking of overbet shoving but he may not call with weaker flushes so just went for value.

nice work, still waiting for my first royal, had a queen and a king, but that was a long story and I was drunk.

In other news, playing a rebuy now at FT, called with 33 to set-mine, hit the quads on the flop, 2 people came along, but 3 suits ended up on the river, so couldnt get much value for them, still better than rebuying I guess(I hardly rebuy)

So many hands beat you here. It's an insta-fold in MTT play when you are forced to call almost half your stack off w/ only K high (unless, of course, you have some sick sick read on the douche). There are so many better spots to get half of your stack in.

As played & since you DBd the turn, I would've bet more here. Your bet was too low in this spot. Bet more around 4.3K+
