My technique for playing drunk is usually to double or triple park my drinks; something like a pint of lager, a Long Island ice tea and a large bourbon is good but one scotch, one bourbon and one beer is better.

Then, after sampling an adequate amount of these beverages the idea is to generally have a good time and fool around whilst winning people's chips.

Eventually this will start to get under some player's skins which will in turn affect their play (often because they want to bust you) and you can gleefully trap them and tipsy-ily bid them 'gg'.

The next stage for me comes after a few more rounds of triple-parked drinks, which is about the time I start to listen directly to the drinks themselves, the kindly whispers echoing out from their little glass houses...

This is usually when things start to get blurry and presumably the little drinkies don't wish me well because I wake up without any memories or any tournament trophies or cash winnings.

My theory is that perhaps the drinks roofie themselves in order to steal my recollections and winnings.

They seem so trustworthy at the time... :(

if it is true what some commenters that playing drunk and aggressive play often works, only a very thin line if you're very drunk:icon_smur:icon_smur:icon_smur:icon_smur

once in a casino I watched as two drunken players threw a coin - eagle = tails, throw $ 100. There is a stage when a drunk man is kind, there is when angry

I think its best to just avoid poker if you are drunk, unless you are at my table.

If I drink, I do not play poker.
I am convinced that alcohol and poker are not compatible. It is a waste of time and money.

I don't think I should play like that. Thoughts scatter in different directions and concentration disappears.

Hi.
Once upon a time, one fine evening, I was playing poker drunk. Everything was great, very fun, until I lost all my bankroll. After that I no longer play poker drunk.
Good luck.

Hi.
Once upon a time, one fine evening, I was playing poker drunk. Everything was great, very fun, until I lost all my bankroll. After that I no longer play poker drunk.
Good luck.

Once upon a time I woke up after a night of drinking (at somebody else's house) and saw their laptop sitting on the floor across the room (as if it had been thrown). I turned the laptop on to find the poker client still open and a popup asking if I wanted to deposit to refill my account. My stomach instantly sank, which could have been from a combination of disbelieve and alcohol dissolving my stomach lining. Through looking at my hand histories, I had "taken a shot" at 5/10 PLO with some horrible play including a hand where I 3 bet potted a flop which could ONLY have been a drunken "**** it, maybe he will fold!" because I was almost exclusively drawing to a runner runner situation. Needless to say, I never drank and played poker after that day.

Wow, retelling this story (from approx. 10 years ago) helps me to see how far I have matured in the last decade.

Folks, never stop studying and improving yourself. It is the ONE area that offers the highest return on your investment. :)

When playing drunk i turn on my second monitor. It's installed at the ceiling. So when I fasll off my chair after 40 beers i still won't miss a piece of the action...
I also use a dice to determine how many BB i will bet preflop whenever i play a hand. At least the dice is sober...

My best drunk story is I ran $50 up to $10k on Betonline once playing PLO. I gave back around 6 or 7 before cashing out huge the following day.

On Sat. Nights, after losing 125 seat qualify for $109 coupons, drinking to suthe the pain of defeat.... this is how you defend the valuable bankroll.... play as many .11 cent bumblebee room super turbo's as yo... look at that just won .42 cents.... ur little heart desires.... it works I'm telling you... all in 83 offsuit, limp aces, have mother f'en fun... its what poker is supposed to be about.

Lost my beer.

So in conclusion, drink beer, buck bitches, fold aces, all in 42 off, and kiss my ass I had ace king. And it was suited... piss on pocket two's.

Who flushes to a two.
I'm going to sex up my wife.
Night bitches

Do I have the best advice for you! This works every time for me. It never fails and you can take it to the bank. How do play poker when drunk? Don't drink when you play and you're welcome.

Have you ever played drunk poker? What was your result?

go out with my family today and drank all and more, and I'll play poker medium (or entirely changed), will be that will influence me in the game, wait for answer.

I have tried playing poker drunk once and lost my stack, but, I have also seen drunk people come and throw around money and hit like a slot machine. It's weird. My best advice is to never play drunk or while drinking. Alcohol lowers your inhibitions and skews your decision making. You will not be playing your best and oftentimes, that means, you will end up getting stacked.

Best of luck.

I don't think I play much different if I am drinking or buzzed. I seem to get the same results either way. I lose more than I win.

I suppose it will depend on how well you handle it. Sometimes just a couple of cold beers helps me settle into a game. Although in the past I have thrown away some good money playing angry after what I would of called a bad beat. Reality is I was playing bad drunk poker.
