it depends whether you are playing online or live whether you are playing freerolls or cash games and believe me when I say that in freerolls poker is more dependable on luck than skills. while on higher stakes, it is more dependable on skills vs luck, good luck anyway and I hope you crush it out there

If you play one tournament, then there is more luck, and if there are many tournaments, then there is already your skill!

i lose so many times to preflop shoves with AA and KK to mediocre hands
and probably the stacks of opponents are bigger than yours. poker rooms do not benefit from honest victories, they give you a tilt.
I checked it with my hard-earned money.

I think only experience can help. luck in online poker has nothing to do with it. poker rooms give constantly fake distributions on bubbles and I often notice the confrontation of knop against BB. (AA-99)
I have not participated in such distributions for a long time. to re-raise all-in is better to fold if you do not have AA or KK(but good think)

Both are needed to succeed in poker ..... Skill and good play can be learned, luck comes and goes when it wants. This is a determining factor in certain moments of play, but luck can never be used as a game system, since it cannot be depended on. Regards.

After the flop you are 96.5% to win and 81.5% after the turn. You have to like those odds, right? River sunk you, but you had a live one on, with a very small chance to win a pot.

That is where the skill is at, not landing them but bringing them to the boat with a high percentage to skin them. Villain had luck, playing hands like that is a most likely a depositing player. Luck bailed them out but in the long run they lack skill. We are all looking to go against those type of players with those odds.

Luck = deposit and skill = withdraw. Look at the long term.

Lucky in poker

In this hand, as we can see, the main thing is luck, and it doesn't matter that you have 92% to win, and your opponent has only 8% ... so poker is just a lottery:confused::confused::confused:

60 % skill, 40 % luck. You might be the best player in the world but your lucky opponent still might win with the worst hands.

Hi!

Several people have already written that 70/30. That's what I think. But I don’t think that number is the same when you play live or online. There are fewer hands live and therefore a greater need for luck. For example, to hit the flop multiple times or to flush the river. Therefore, live more 50/50.

You still have a lot of chips left, don't get greedy, sometimes the shorty also need to win. :)

Was it all preflop or postflop?

It really depends on the opponent. I would say 60% skills and 40% luck. But when you play freerolls, it might be 75% luck and 25% skills.

I think that as the years go by, you realize that both factors are important for the game of poker, luck plays a fundamental role when playing, but even if you are very lucky in the game, if you do not have the necessary skill That luck will be of no use since you will not know how to take advantage of it, for me in my personal opinion, both things combined give 100% chance to win.

I think like this:
- In one tourney: 70% luck 30% skill.
- In 50 tourneys: 50% luck 50% skill.
- In 500 tourneys: 30% luck 70% skill.
