Right before the stupid covid crap shut down our Wynn Encore Boston Harbor poker room (still closed to this very day), I picked up AA in my very last hand of the night (at a very drunk table), got to the river against two draws and one of them hit their gutshot to felt me and take my last $600...
...and since the room hasn't opened in the last 18 months, I've had to replay that hand over and over in my head a thousand times over.
it's like a torture that never ends. LOL and sigh
No, $600 didn't bankrupt me, but it sure does leave a terrible taste in one's mouth...
As for the room... well I live in a Communistwealth so it's pretty much over. They have announced a poker room re-opening, but it isn't until Feb. 1 2022, and it will only be with 12 tables, down from 74 tables when they closed the room.
COVID destroyed our world, but not the virus itself, but rather, the insane over-response to what is quite obviously just your standard influenza. (Don't argue, you won't ever change my mind about that)
Meh. I'm never playing poker in a mask, so its over. My all-too-brief "career" will always be like a tattoo that I regret getting but can't remove. A permanant stain.
The room (and brand spanking new casino) was only open for a short six months when the covid crap hit... and it won't ever be like it was for those brief few months. A damn shame but welcome to life.
