If a non-professional player can win a great tournament. But it takes time and learning. We are all waiting for that tournament that changes our lives.

If you're reason for playing is to make money, you probably won't make any. Just enjoy it and have fun. Build up your bankroll slowly and then begin playing larger buy-in tourneys and tables where the bigger paydays are.

A difficult question for amateurs. Many players play not to make money, but for fun. I made about $500 in a year of play, I play mostly freerolls. But I treat the game as a leisure game. In different months the income was different. I could be 15 bucks in surplus in a month.

how much do you think you can earn playing non-professional poker?can a newcomer to the game win a large sum?
Basically, as in everything accomplishable in life, it takes three things: aptitude, motivation and opportunity. Non-professionally, I average from one to three hundred a week. Sometimes more when I've gone a while without any bad beat losing streaks. Monthly my spread has gone from the negative to almost three thousand. I think that happened once. I play mostly triple up SNGs. Find what game you're good at and build up your expertise in that game. I play other games, but that's my cash cow.

It really depends on a lot of things, what stakes you play, your skill level. Your average opponents skill levels. If ypu study the game and get really good at it I wouldn't consider you a recreational player though. I think as a recreational player their isn't alot of money up for grabs if you really figure out poker there is alot of money up for grabs

Every player can become successful. It all depends on the presence of patience, discipline and purpose. I started playing about 6 years ago and currently, on average I make about 150 dollars a month. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my progress in poker right now.

It depends on your wallet. As long as "recreational" equals "fish" you are going to lose sooner or later.

I have had the opportunity and the satisfaction of achieving good positions in big tournaments, and I am the type of recreational player, I have always said that you have to have a lot of perseverance and perseverance, to be able to see the profits, it is very important to keep insisting no matter the type of tournament that you are playing, I always play with a lot of desire to win, and I learn a lot more every day, to try not to make mistakes in the future

I make 50-100 dollars a month. I did try moving up stakes, but I found it unprofitable.

Hi,
I qualify as a recreational player since I have a day job, and I can make 100-1000usd a month, depends on the results of course!
But I am not a reference, every player is unique, you can end up winning much more or much less.
Gl at the tables.

A recreational player (fun player) don't normally fix leaks to their game, as they don't study, so making money would be very tough! They may make money once in a while, but they won't make money in the long run!!

If you are improving your game, don't put the recreational tag on yourself, let's say amateur/semi-pro

When an amateur/semi-pro starts to get a healthy bankroll they should start to play 25NL

It is beneficial for the entire poker community to popularize the game, from poker room owners to ordinary players. Why? Yes, because only a constant influx of new players allows "veterans" to earn money without much effort. Well, poker rooms earn the more, the more players play, as they receive a percentage of every change at the gaming table - rake, and not only. I earn the most when I play poker on vacation.

If your playing to make money, you might as well stop as it wont be fun.
Play because you enjoy it not because you want to make money.
