400 quid. I say that because you mentioned as a non professional. If I made more than that a week playing, I would then go pro as it would be enough to live and concentrate on full time.
Most micro players loose money. That’s how the professionals get their money.
Do you have any more information to go on for mor did an answer?

Not much. You’ll have some good days and some bad days and will probably end up breaking even over the long haul or maybe a bit ahead if you are really good. Even if you’re a break even player you will lose money due to rake.

The reason professionals make money has a lot to do with sponsorships and other side activities like coaching.

It depends on how much you consider large. For many people and $ 100 is good money. I think if you take a responsible approach to the game, then you can earn $ 300 - $ 400 per month. And if you are lucky to get into the top 5 in some good tournament you can immediately pick up $ 1000

I think that a beginner can earn a large amount, because in poker there is a factor of luck. For example, take a high place in an expensive tournament for a free ticket.

It depends on the natural talent , the charisma he has on this game , on the decisiveness to study and the ability to learn fast and the best knowledge , the successfulnedd of the weekly study of his errors or leaks in his games and the corrections he makes , his BRM , many factors to decide whether one will have profits , few , many or fer too many :)Not a simple answer unfortunatelly :)

the American dream, millions want to be profitable professional players and live on it, one and only one achieves it. You could make a lot of money playing poker if you make it one of a million, but remember, behind a winner there are 999,999 losers. This is a game that clearly depends on knowledge and strategy, but we depend much more on luck and chance. My recommendation, there are many more trades in life to achieve success

mi opinion

Hello, it is very difficult to win a lot of money because when you start playing you start with low tournaments and you earn little money just to keep playing. I have earned $ 150 in one year.

I am convinced that even a non-professional player can consistently make 1-2 thousand dollars a month. But for this you need to play every day, for 8-10 hours a day.

Hello again.
What games types do you play and what buy ins?
And how many games per month?
I did some accounting and might be able to create a projection for you

You can earn a lot. You can be an amateur and win the Sunday Million. Trust me, already happened before. This is, after all, what the game is all about.

A begginer can beat Phil Ivey in one hand.
Or Johnny Chan, Daniel Negranu, Phil Hellmuth...

Every year in Las Vegas you can see lots of amateurs grabing bracelets or huge prizes. But of course, you can't measure the amount you can win. For this kind of player - even if they are really good - poker is just like a gambling adventure.

They are not talking about av.buy-in, ROI, volume of playing... things professionals are doing all the time. They are just taking a shot for fun or something like it.

Hello! I consider myself a newbie. I can’t make a lot of money, first of all I play on micro limits so as not to lose a lot of bankroll, and in poker the more you invest, the more jackpots. But there is always a chance of winning, even for beginners. Sincerely, Sergey.

I think that as well as the opportunity to win a lottery or die from a meteorite falling on your head. Everything is possible.

I believe that every player has a chance to succeed. But no doubt it all depends on his experience, skills and luck.

Focus on getting in the positive before aiming for earning a living. $100-200 a month is a great starting point

Great question, but not one that I can answer. Not sure how "recreation" transfers to time and what you're willing to risk. Playing larger stakes, increases the chance to win more.

However it goes for you, good luck.

There is a factor of luck, and you can’t only rely on it, since skills are very important in poker) The combination of these two factors will be behind the victories in tournaments

Try to keep costs to a minimum and like rj montana said just try to get ahead first poker is a marathon pace yourself.
It is hard to make money after rake, processor conversion fees, huds maybe study material like books also coaches and all the other costs that are financial easy to overspend,
Then especially downswings that a player will have also has a huge mental cost too that can ruin a player if not focused.
But yes struggle through all this regardless landing on final tables and try to be disciplined and patient in control mentally and of your bankroll using it wisely when on your A game 4,5 or even a 6 digit profit not easy but it is possible many have succeeded good luck alfiyka.

A recreational player can earn money depending on the strategy he develops to increase his bankroll.

And you can also make big money trying to qualify by spending low buy-in on big tournament satellites.

If he performs well and plays a big tournament it would be a blast.

It's hard to make money when you play freeroll or micro. To win money you have to play high stakes cash games, but can you do that if you are a leisure player? I do not believe!

It depends on what tournaments I will play and what starting bankroll. A beginner can win a different amount, because he just can carry and everything goes very well)
