My dad is a little worried that i would gamble my money away but that will never happen. I only play micro and have my limits for how much to play for and my mother is not especially worried. Lives with my sister whom like to watch me play and coach me from time to time. She also plays for me if i need to do something else.

My wife hates the fact that I play poker. I mean, I have been playing for years, but was never really a student of the game. I actually spend more time reading about poker than playing it. My wife is just a straight up maniac, though. When it comes to putting my time into anything. She gets crazy jealous If I have any type of hobby, not just poker. If anyone out there has a hobby they plan to keep, don't marry a psycho maniac. Lol.

Well ... I play a lot of poker and a lot of golf. My wife has joined me from time to time on the links and she hates golf. Too frustrating for her.

Poker ...

She enjoys it when the lads come by and we play a game. It gives her a chance to get out of the house and hang with her girlfriends. So it is a win win. I've taught he how to play and every once and a while we host a ladies only event. I deal for the ladies for the entire tournament and they thoroughly enjoy it!

So for me that's the balance. Have a tournament or two for her girlfriends, a couple of regular games with the guys, and ask her to come golfing with me ... Poker always wins when I ask her to come golfing. [emoji12]

I am passionate about this game, but my family doesn't relate. They count my losses, because that's all they see. They don't know that I was playing short stacked against really talented individuals, or working on some new techniques. Or plain old luck wasn't very generous that day, or I wasn't focused as much as I should have been. They do not understand the dynamics, so they can't relate. What I do know for certain though is that when I do win, I give a little bit to them.

Family Relations with Your Poker Game

I started playing at the age of 15 by going through the channels and seeing the wsop Main Event going on. So, I stopped on this ESPN channel and later looked it up online. So, to this day my parents don't know that I gamble cause they are totally against it. My siblings know that I play poker but they don't care about it as much as I do. The most interesting part is thinking of different excuses to think of to get out of the house to go play poker.

If poker is your life and the job, you need to show your family, that you can earn money through the game. If you will give them money for life, they will say it,s ok, work hard - go pro. But if you are not good enough, of course they will tell you, that this is just a silly game.
Also for lots of people poker is just a hobby after the job, so, this is my situation, so that,s ok.
