How do others relate to the fact that you play poker?

Most people who don't know the skill behind poker think it's just gambling and that I'm wasting money. Most people are pretty impressed when I consistently win money and ask "how" and become curious. A few of them actually became pretty good poker players themselves!

Most of my friends play poker and we typically play together when we can so they are cool with the fact that I play. My family on the other hand are not so happy with the fact, they say it's too time consuming.

My parents are skeptical about my passion for poker,but do not interfere,but my wife even at one time even tried to conflict with me because of the games on pokerstars! The situation was simply unbearable,but I managed to defend my passion for poker, now it's a small matter, to prove that our love with poker is mutual!

as for my friends. when I talk to them about poker it's like I'm coming from the planet mars.my family do not like to see me play and always ask me to promise never to play my legacy at the game. for them it's a game money and nothing more. but that does not bother me. I know my limits and I will do my best to reach my goal of becoming a regular play day.

Everyone I tell finds it quite interesting and they are intrigued. A friend told me he had read that playing poker and being a stock broker take the same kind of mental aptitude. I thought that was kind of cool !

My mom is always supporting me even though when she doesn't like the idea but I understand how she feels is kinda weird that your son tells you that he wants to play poker and live from it haha my father is not very happy and I guess he think is a waste of time but I'm doing my best to get results and prove him wrong and demostrate that I can reach my goals.

Well,I´ve never had any problem with my family due to poker.Thanks to poker I´ve a bought a tablet,clothes,sneakers,and I´ve given some money to my mom everytime I withdrew some cash.But friends and other people look at with surprise when I tell them that I play poker some hours per day..Idon´t care because I´m not doing anything wrong and this game is very exciting isn´t it?

The funniest are the ones who never played poker before and thy judge you. Some of the people think poker is just gambling without thinking and strategy. But most of my friends have no problem.
