I have actually had several royal flushes, guess I play too much. Most online of course, 3 of them were live but that has been over a period of decades, never at a casino. Anyways, have never folded one and did LMAO when read this. Yes, I have misread hands before and folded or misplayed them because of it, the biggest one was a straight though. I haven't done it too recently but did get knocked out of a tourney live earlier this year because I thought I had A8 in the bb and flop was K88 and I pushed it thinking I had the 8 and chip leader flopped a flush draw and called, he hit a pair and I didn't, I had A6.

That's the funniest fold ever. I've done some dopey things myself, but they have become fewer and fewer over time. I folded a non-nut flush recently because I wasn't paying enough attention and kicked myself unmercifully after. Note to self: pay attention! (I sometimes play online while eating, watching TV, reading emails and multi-tabling. Stupid!!!)

It bothers me to hear some of you claim to have had a couple royal flushes and several straight flushes in a year or less. I have been playing poker for 5 years, most of that time spent multi-tabling, and I've never caught a royal flush(and I have tried). I may have had only 1 or 2 straight flushes also. If your lucky enough to catch one and you accidently fold it.... that has to be the most epic bad play of all time  Just a game though so don't dwell in the past just move on and learn from your mistakes.

I haven't folded a royal but I did fold a full house, recently, for real money, so I can't use inexperience as an excuse, I'm just stupid.

Folding a full house is not always stupid tho....

I have had 3 royals and folded one before it was one.
I have had 2 online one I flopped the other I turned first was holding J 10 spades flop was AQK spades, 2nd was holding AJ clubs flop was Kc Qc 2d turn was the 10c. Then my live one was holding KJ diamonds and flopped AQ10 diamonds. Now the one I folded was at a home game I raised with AJ spades dealer goes allin for 12k which is 3/4 of my chips I put him on AK and told him so and folded showing my AJ he said good read and showed AK then he ran it out I would have flopped a flush and turned a royal.
