I'm a tournament specialist player and whenever I try cash games I do bad. I'm fairly sucessful in tournament poker but I'm just awful in ring games. Well, a few days ago I picked up Harrington's Cash game book volume 1, they didn't have volume 2 when I went to the store or I woulda got that too. The poker books I've read in the past were Super system by Doyle Brunson, Theory of poker, NL hold'em for advanced players by david sklansky, and the 2 HoH books. And out of all those books, the only ones that actually improved my game significantly were HoH. The other books actually worsened my game when I tried to do what they said and I didn't like them. So I had pretty high expectations for Harrington's cash game books. So I thouroughly read Harrington's money game book V1 and WOW what an eye opener, I was playing deep stacked cash games so bad before, I was playing them just like I would play in a MTT. Played a lot of ring games yesterday and the day before, putting Harrington's advice into practice and had some very good results. If you're a tournament player who hasn't had sucess in ring games I really suggest this book.
