You're right, duretsie444! Friends in poker do not happen - some rivals! But still, when you see people from around the world at the table - it's great!

Hi, I now have some changes in life and I have the same problem, there is no company in which you can play live poker! But perhaps again there will be a change in my life and there will be people with whom I will play in the company.

Do you have friends with whom you are going in real life and playing?
I do not have enough of these friends ...
It's a pity, but I want to have them);)

Have a friend of the family who plays regular home games, usually tourneys, but sometimes cash as well. That was up until they decided that they'd rather not have Dorugremon sitting at their tables. Invites really dried up. (I also think his wife objected too much and he quit playing after that; P-whipped he is.)

I actually did have a couple of friends with which i went to casino from time to time, and i even folded strong hands against them. Later i realized that those werent even my friends and would never do the same for me. Me disappointed now know that friends and poker just dont go together. :(

I don't have any friends with whom I could play poker either, most of my friends think I'm sick of playing poker

I remember playing poker with friends when they had just arrived in germany.
Since we got together on weekends at my house so I decided to buy a pack full poker and truth we spend unforgettable moments in a very relaxing and friendly atmosphere.
A cordial greeting.

I prefer not to play at the same table with friends. I have one good friend who plays poker, and we usually try to play live at separate tables. Neither of us has faced each other online, but we have played a couple of times live. In the space of one hour, each of us had pocket kings that we had to fold to an ace on the flop. Both times the pocket kings would have lost to a pair of aces. In this case, the fact that we knew each other's game so well, allowed for the correct fold....which meant neither one of us took serious money from the other. But I still prefer to play against strangers. Winning or losing a big hand of $400 - 500 at a $1-2 table to a friend would be annoying....chances are, we would give back the money when we left the casino...so what's the use of playing ? It's like kissing your sister.

Poker brings people together, I have many friends in my country, and many around the world, making friends is something wonderful, we know that many people complain that there are players who are rude when online, an example of this is the Russians, but I have a lot of friends from Russia, everyone has their point of view, I'm like to make good and lasting friendships, it will always add up in my life.

I have a group of friends who have been playing poker in home games for over 12 years! We play every Wednesday evening for 4 hours. There are usually 8 players in the game, with enough subs available to cover any absences. Most of the time we play at the same house, but when the usual host is away (usually to a casino), we move the game to an alternate location. Most of us are seniors, between 68 - 80 years of age. Some have a hard time seeing the cards and some are hard of hearing.
Everyone brings their own drinks - most of them soft drinks.
The only snack is potato chips, and it is totally random who brings them.
We have a big Christmas Party early in December. Same menu every year - KFC. We start 30 minutes earlier so we don't miss our 7 pm start time for poker.
Our game is Fixed Limit Texas Holdem. We experimented with Spread Limit for a couple of years, but recently returned to Fixed Limit. The stakes are small. We play for fun and friendship, not to get rich off the poor play of our buddies.
So far we have remained an exclusively male group, although some of us do play with other family members.

Ya my work friends and I usually get together and play poker once a month. We play a 20$ buy in tournament style game. Mostly it’s just to hang out drink beers smoke weed and to have fun.
Also my friends outside of work get together usually every 2 months to play together to have fun. If you live around Toronto ur more than welcome to come join us, as long as ur not a pro player lol.

Used to play local $20 entry NLHE bar tourneys with a couple friends when my work schedule allowed it. One of my friends and I just talked about this last week, we both said it would be fun to start playing again.

It can be very fun playing poker with friends -- just keep the stakes low enough so that the "poorest" player is comfortable.
