Poker is global business and the past time of many presidents and famous people and not so famous people.
Poker will be around for a lot longer than me and you so if its something we love - who cares what other people say or feel

Poker is a game like any other. It has its share of luck and the math employed.

It's not just luck, it's knowing how to play, that's why professional players usually win or go far in tournaments.

The definition of sport includes “physical exertion”…I give you that sitting and playing for long periods of time can be physically exhausting, but I struggle to agree that it requires physical exertion to play either chess or poker. Would playing a board game be a sport? R.I.S.K for example? (Sorry maybe this conversation should be it’s own thread?)
