I have always felt online is harder than live. I have done fairly well live in various location, (Vegas, Biloxi and Cherokee), mostly at low limits as well 1/2NL and some 2/5NL. I just can't stand the pace of play live. Drives me crazy. :captain:

In the game live you will not find a robot. The online is more complicated, but you also get more experience.

I think that live games are easier at low stakes because professional players can not play on many tables, e.g. 4,6,8, as online, so they avoid these stakes. In the live game, people play mostly for pleasure, therefore the game is looser and easier.

Online is much harder, because you cant see opponents face/body language.

I have never played live, so I can only assume: I think it’s harder to play online.

Despite never played live, believe the later is more "pokerble", skills is shown more than luck. So live poke is not easier to play, is more suitable to apply the poker strategies, favouring the skilled and experienced players. I believe.

If you are bad at keeping your posture and emotions under check then live all the way but other then that online all day simply because you will see players do things they would never do in a live game for the reasons mentioned above.

I explain again, river is a regular Board card, just like everyone else, just don't take the money to river! And river won't be so fat!

Live you have more fish, so in general it's going to be easier.

But sometimes fish play crazy, so you will probably get more variance.

Online is a tougher game from my experience. There are crazier players and fewer reads to pick up on. Although it is easier sometimes to play from your own living room in that regards.

In a live game you can pick up tells and reads on players and a lot of information is given... so in theory it should be easier live, but at the same time you are giving off tells etc. Online poker is a bit different, You have to pick up on betting patterns and figure out what they got based on bets checks and raises and te time it takes them to act, take in previous hands into consideration etc. Cheers and GL in the next 1!

I've not played live at an actual casino, but I'm encouraged that everyone thinks online is harder. Maybe I need to make a trip sometime.

In each form of the game has its own nuances, I think that online play more difficult, because you can not see the faces and behavior of their rivals.

I think online poker is way easier than live poker because you can hide your emotions in front of the PC.

I think live is harder then online. Live you have to be more conscious and alert while controlling your body language and plus you can't wear your underpants:0) online you can wear underpants and not have to worry about your emotions:0)

Without question, online poker is significantly more difficult to beat than live poker.

I realized lots of online players don't follow rules, if there's some rules in poker, such as odds, etc. I suppose it's easier to play with some principles. I read somewhere in cardschat a relatively serious poker player who usually won in live poker lost more at online poker.
I never play live poker but I found sometime the techniques I learned didn't work out. Maybe I am still inexperienced consider the time length I've played.

tonight lots of hands I folded would win pot if I didn't, not to mention my pocket aces was beaten by a straight (villain picked a last out at river). I guess it just one of those "unlucky" days...

It is easier to play online in my opinion. You can't show you are bluffing, you don't worry abour looking like a donk for a bad play, and the main advantage - everything is way quicker, a ton more hands are played, and since most people are very impatient, it is a big deal really.

Online is harder because the psychological aspect is removed. Another reason it's harder online is there is significantly more collusion. There's also no better feeling than watching a deck of cards shuffled properly and having zero concerns about why runner runner is happening at a 10 to 1 clip.
