My thoughts are this,

I often did better the less i played

Be careful not to let it burn you out. Because of the variance you could play great and still run bad which is hard mentally.

Find what ever balance that works for you. You don't want to turn into a doug polk and be one of the best in the world, yet hate poker.

Trying to find the road to success

I would only play Thursday into Sunday. What would happen is Thursday I would play 3-4 tournaments. Pass the bubble on all except 1. Make profit. Day 2, loose ALLLLL the profit on buy-ins for Day 2 games. This happened repeatedly to the point where my wife was like, “Honey, I really think we should cut it back to just one day a week.” You know, I actually think that’s a good idea. So Friday from now on will be the only day. Let’s see if I can really start profiting instead of just gambling.

I usually try to play every day as I am retired now and with the current climate there is nowhere to go so happy to play every day. I will be giving it a rest over Christmas and the New Year to be with close Family but still staying away from Pubs, Clubs and casinos.
