In my opinion tournaments are harder to play mainly because they last much longer so the fatigue, tilt and other things can appear and have a bad influence in taking the right decision at a certain moment during tournaments.

For me the cash game is more difficult, you need to be a specialist to be a winning player

At micro-limits both these disciplines are quite attractive, but for stable winnings, you need to work on the game at any limit !!! Personally, I like tournaments more!!!

I play tournaments more and naturally it's easier for me to play tournaments, that's why I read mostly the literature on tournament poker. For me, poker is a competition and not winning money at cash tables. And of course I don't play cache games very well, but that doesn't mean that I won't be able to play cache well enough and compete.

Cash games are easy to play, but boring. Tournaments - interesting, but long)

Cash games you generally play deep stack, but in tournaments you have to learn to play in all kinds of situations.

I prefer tournaments because according to statistics they are more profitable for me than cash games. And in general, in my opinion, playing cash games is more difficult than in tournaments.

Cash games are much more frustrating for me & much easier to tilt on. There is nothing worse than losing a few buy-in's to suck-outs where the villain had no right being in the pot. It also happens in tourneys, but the cost in not so severe, you're just knocked out.

which of the 2 is easier / harder for you personally ?

for me the cash game is more difficult, in my perception it seems that cash game players only play high pairs and also bluff a lot in position.

For me cash games are harder to play especially online, the players are tights and sometimes nitty, I've played many many spots with premium hands where there was no action, winning small pots uncontested. Tournaments are much different due to their dynamics, blinds and antes force the action, players won't wait for premium hands and I feel confortable with this, also there is the fact that you loose a fixed amount (buy in) and you can win big if you make the final table and generally it's in a few hours of play (6-7h), yeah mtts are pretty cool for me.

I think at the micros there is not much difference between tournaments and cash games, and there are a lot of very weak players there and there.

I find it easier to play in (freeroll) tournaments, but the time required is much greater...you have no control if you are still in it...cash games, you can leave at any time...winning or losing.

Hi !
I don't think it is a matter of difficulty. Both tournaments and cash games require a lot of effort.
I think it is a matter of prefernces, I don't feel I was made to play cash games, I like tournaments better.

I prefer cash games.

I prefer cash games as tournaments require several hours at a stretch.

it seems to me that a tournament is easier than a cash game, you pay a certain amount and play for an hour or two, during this hour you will not lose more than you paid for entry, and in a cash game you can lose a large amount in an hour, it is more dynamic there

This is all based on play money not real...so this opinion would change if it were for real I'm sure...

However, I find it easier to increase bankroll and less stressful playing cash games. Tournaments you're against the clock (especially true for turbo/hyper). You may be at a table with guys playing far too many hands during the opening and you're just sitting waiting for a good opportunity...it doesn't come...those aggressive players get paid off and are now the chip leaders whilst you now need to get going otherwise you're going to be on the backfoot when the blinds keep rising. You are pressured into having to play more hands than you would perhaps usually do. Sometimes you'll get good hands and the format won't bother you, whereas others it will. Cash games, you play exactly how you want to and come and go as you please. I do enjoy sit n go's though so don't get me wrong - the buzz of 'winning' is great...even play chips.

I find cash to be harder for me. The reason is we are actually playing for real money in cash games. I can put money in a tournament and its just not real money but entertainment value for me. I also am competitive and love to play for the victory. Winning the tournament gives me more satisfaction then tripling my buy in for a cash game.

Hi.
Cash games in my opinion are very difficult. I prefer tournaments. I stopped playing cash games a long time ago because they brought me regular losses.

Always look for tournaments because no matter how long they can be you can recover from a bad hand or losing streak, but instead in a cash game you lose and then you don't have much of a bank after continuing with a long losing streak, for that reason I prefer tournaments no matter how long they are, they are also very cool with very strong hands

It all depends on the opponents at the table. But overall, I prefer tournaments because they bring me more money.
