Sometimes I feel like I could explode during the game. It amuse me that during the online game you don't even need a chat to feel other player and his attitude about you. It's always a silent war but you can feel it easily.

Depending on stack size and action before you, raising, 3betting, or shoving are all good options.

So, you lost $3.50 and broke a mouse that is probably worth more?

Doesn't make a lot of sense.

I don't get nervous playing online but when I play at my local casino I have to wear a jacket zipped up all the way that has like a turtleneck to hide the veins on my neck because when I get nervous the blood pumps so fast and that vein throbs noticeably. Even if the stakes are low I still get nervous if I'm bluffing. I guess I'm just not good at lying.

What me worry!?

Unfortunately been a while since I took a chair with my chip but I used to get nervous live but then I am an anxious type of person. Though lately online I find I feel bold and will go in where it may be 5% to hit. Guess I'm the fish!

Poker is not only a test of luck and mathematics, but also psychology. Of course we experience different feelings during the game. But for a successful game better protect themselves from the emotions in poker. Before I came into a rage after a failure queue. Now I almost got rid of it.

Emotions make plenty of sense. Some just control it better than others.

The reason I said it doesn't make sense is that now you're down $3.50 on the tables + the cost of a new mouse. Depending on what brand you buy, that's probably a lot more expensive than losing $3.50.

What doesn't make sense is why break something that is worth so much more than you lost?

It is normal to feel nervous, honestly it happens most of the time in different situation that we are in. It is just a matter of knowing how to handle pressure when you feel it.

first off the thread is about stress in poker. second because i got abit anger issues when playing games i tend to buy cheap mouse so i wont pay alot for it :D.
after all this is my biggest challenge i think when playing poker to control myself, not only not to break things but to stay calm and sharp minded during every hand to make the most of it.

I think it matters how much you are interacting with the game at hand. Sometimes your mood, how tired you are, and the buy in can change all these factors. Often i dont give a crap about anything yawning constantly, Sometimes when i start a tourney im really nervous to start a tourney but as soon as i take the first rake i am fine. I often get in the pot w hands where im ahead and at very least a race in a tournament so i have gotten really adept to taking bad beats, they hardly phase me anymore unless the person really has no business in the hand and is tryin to give away money... like 2c3c calling to a flop of AsKsQs for all their chips or money, and then they win.. that will get my blood pumping but other than that i think its all circumstantial.

I get really nervous only when I get my tournament committed because of a bingo donk that breaks my group 1 hands with trash live 74o. Otherwise I accept the loses and try to develpo my game fixing my mistakes.

When playing live and I am in a big hand, I can feel my heart pumping so hard. I think to myself, "I hope no one else hears that!" Just like public speaking, you are usually the only one that knows, unless you are giving it away completely.

The worst situation for me is when I'm betting the flop and after that going all in on the turn with air because I think I have good read and suddenly guy can't make the decision and I must wait soooo looooonnggg.
