Definitely yes, but I think poker is the best card game out there. There are many other games, i.e. not card games, which of course can be compared to poker, but nevertheless it would be an incorrect comparison.

Poker is much more than a simple card game, It is a battle of wits between several players at the same time, and a study in Human behaviour or Psychology of how we think and behave in certain situations.
In Chess you have one opponent to beat, and if you can Identify if that opponent is very protective over his strongest pieces on the board, it becomes very easy to manipulate that player into making moves that he wouldn't normally make, in order to protect those pieces.
In Poker you have only your Chips to protect, but many more opponents wanting them all. So it is very important on how you act when you are feeling threatened, Do you protect the Stack and Fold when someone raises? Or do you fight back and Re-raise attacking the aggressor?
Only the River card will determine whether you played correctly or straight into your enemies hands.

The most interesting games with girls, definitely. If you know what I mean. Then there's computer games on the second place. Poker isn't even a game. Poker is first and foremost about money. I don't know who gets excited just from playing poker. I mean, everybody gets excited about money. If, for example, every won game of chess brought me money - I would play chess every day, not poker.

For me, poker is definitely one of my favorite games. Just like the author of the article, I love to play chess, in childhood I tried to play it “professionally” (as far as possible for a schoolchild), I even had some youth ranks. Sometimes I also enjoy playing games on the computer in the Action/RPG genre.

I only know how to play poker, black jack, checkers, roulette and cards. I don't quite understand dominoes, but my favorite is poker.

For a card game using a French-suited deck, probably. Money or stakes have to be involved though. Poker without stakes is actually an awful game. If stakes aren't involved, then I think Spades or Bridge are better card games than Poker.
However, none of those are the most interesting card game I've played in general. That title goes to Magic the Gathering.

I find it one of the most challenging besides the adrenaline it causes when opening the Turn and the river!🤞🤞

Poker is the best card game for sure however i miss the time when on pokersites were available games like omaha, razz or stud where you could win a ticket for weekend game. Those games are interesting as well but poker is the best game.
