I play the tournaments .as a departure from the tournament and loss 1 fee for the tournament is not so significant than the loss in the cache.and can win a lot more and getting to the final table prinoset more fun
At least it is for me
Cash games due to the more consistent winnings. But even more importantly for me is the flexibility. I don't want to be sitting in a chair for upwards of 8 hours like can happen with tournaments. I value being able to get up and leave whenever I want.
I still play tournaments for fun sometimes on the weekends though
I like them both. I'm recreational player so i like better a tournament felling like i'm on wsop or something like that, there is nothing better than win a tournament. There are hundreds or maybe thousands of player and you being the 1° place it fells great. In the other hand cash game is more like a job to me. You play to make money, you don't win until you decide to get up and leave and there you make a balance of how much you did make. I enjoy it too but i have lost a lot. I guess because i'm not a pro or i haven't get all what it takes to know about this type of game.
Bottom line you have to make a decision about what are your goals by playing poker.
Fun and money (tournaments)
Money and Growing bankroll (cash)
Cash game, because I can go out the time I want and it does not last as long as the tournaments, so when I am with my physical, emotional, mental and spiritual high level I prefer to play cash game of preference zoom ...
I play only MTT`s, no cash games. There is a big difference between these two types. In cash game goes monotone, you can not know how much you can lose or win. But in tourneys is other situation, often you have to play with marginal hands to stay alive, you can pressure on opponents with your stack. MTT`s for me are more interesting.
I prefer the tournaments because my investment gets diluted in several tournaments so the risk is much lower than the cash game where there is always the possibility of losing a large amount in a single hand which means an absurd variance
I choose tournaments , because tournaments are fun and very ambitious , you can set challenge to go deeper in a tournament to improve your Poker Skills.........
Cash games for me, for sure. I can never commit the mental energy it takes to go the distance in a tournament. I prefer the convenience of popping in and out of tables at my leisure.
I didn't realize I was a tournament player until recently.
For me, it's because of the low risk.
I feel virtually 0 pressure in tournaments. When my own limited real cash is on the table, it still feels more dangerous...thus it's harder for me to make moves or relax and play aggressively...
