Which do you prefer....cash game with familiar....or tournament style buy in with guranteed paid spots....
while i do love the free rolls just to tease myself with a few bucks... I almost always have prefered the cash games at home...Its easier to familiarize and read similar tendencies in players. But I do love the tournament set up with guarnteed spots.

I prefer tournaments for now. I still have too many leaks for cash games. If I bubble on a tournament, at least I can see how high I finished in a tournament and I only lose my tournament fee. If I play a cash game well for three hours and am up, but then make a bonehead move and lose my stack. BUT i have a week spot for zoom like cash games and thats were I lose all my $ since I found that format of cash games ;(

I prefer MTT's because depending on the type it makes the games more fun. PKO's and regular bounties are so much more aggressive and people play a lot looser if they think they can win a bounty. With cash games you can adapt to the table your playing at after a while and if you're smart start building a roll but it's tedious.

I prefer MTT's because there's more thrill but I still play sometimes cash games because I think it's important to improve your poker by practicing different kinds of poker !

I do not play cash games because I always lose. I prefer regular tournaments. Cash games, in my opinion, are more complex than tournaments.

I prefer tournaments because of the sheer thrill of winning a huge prize when against a multitude of players. Furthermore, I enjoy the prestige that comes with surviving until the very end. Tournaments may have more variance, but each tournament brings something fresh in a session.

Seems that my money goes further when I play tournaments. I min cash a lot in tournaments. When I play cash games, something always seems to go wrong. I'm not ahead by any means from either one of the formats, but it does seem more economical to play tournaments. I wish I was good at both.
