You can to play, where you feel yourself easy and where you have profit. But if you want to get profit in other disciplines, you need to hard work.

I like to play Cash games zoom, but I think it's better to play Cash on regular tables and take advantage of how they play. Learn how your opponents play.

It is really difficult question for answering because you need to decided that. We can only give you some opinion, if you're a beginner into poker overall you should jump to some courses before playing. If you played poker and you understand how it works, i suggest you to start with SnG if you're a online poker beginner because starting cash game can cause you a lot of trouble destroying a bankroll and stuffs like that. First of all you need to learn how to manage your bankroll management. If you're asking me i would suggest you to start with the beginner bankroll challenge on pokerstars and continue with some micro SnG tourneys. Once you feel comfortable you can play higher buy-in SnG, MTTs or cash game!
Good luck buddy, wish you many successes and big earnings!

new player id go sit and go the donk or bingo players out generally quicker ( also can play real game at low stakes) and if you want to play tournaments it will help teach you stack ratio to blinds and short handed play think these are all valuable things to learn any future poker player cash game you have to learn to play like early stages of tourney and how to play wider range in position so I think sit and go best way to get vantage point on poker

Hello guys,

I want to start to play poker for real, and have some good profit from it using the time I'm not in the college...
But I can't choose between play cash games or sit and go... Witch one you prefer and why?? Tournaments are out of the list now, because they demand so much time...

Thanks for the help!

Almost all the SnG's I've played lately take well over an hour. Even 6 max SnG's take around an hour.

Have you tried Zoom?

Hello.
I am currently playing only in freerolls. I decided for myself that when I start to win some money in freerolls, only then will I start playing SNG tournaments for money.

If you play on acr i like the step sit n go, 28 cents, 1.65, and 6 bucks for the lowest values

To put things into perspective for you...
If you're not sure which type of nlhe you want to play but are thinking you're going to 'make some good profit from it', think again! It's not easy money in online poker these days. It takes a good length of time before most can even become profitable in the low/micro buyin levels.

Try out both types (imo)... sticking with one for at least a month & then the other for a month... BUT don't mix in both. You'll need that much time to even figure out what type you prefer. Once you've made your choice, STICK to that one format until you are excelling in it.

For me, sit & go is the most appropriate one.Because my favorite is the tournament.
Here I can practice late game situations sit & gos.
Cash games can suddenly be lost a lot, which is very frustrating.
I think it's best if you are practicing both types!

sit and go

Best bet would be Sit and Go. Also depends on your skill level in playing and bankroll management.

I lose quickly in the cache, so I prefer to play tournaments. More time to play.

I would recommend sit n gos for a beginner. Try the lowest stakes sit n gos on whichever site you play on. Good luck.

SNG has several game options with different values in the case and secure to play but to be a certain value at registration.
Now the cash game you need to be very careful because you can lose very fast your bank

I love cash games but I like the ideal of buying in for a set amount to win a lump sum of money, not only that if I in a tourney its the minimum

I personally like cash games, more profitable for me, but why make your self choose one or the other, why not play a little of both, or at least enouph to find out whats more profitable for your style or what you prefer to play and then choose, I do like to play sit n gos once in awhile though cause it gives you that tourney feel with just a few players,
also im not sure what site u play on but you can find 27 and 45 player sit n gos on a few sites, and the pay outs are are pretty good, and lets you have that tourney feel like I mentioned , for a minimum time comepared to actual tourneys

Sit@go gives more options for success.
True. at the same time its risky some time you get busted because I learned last week that I get knocked out with some dump people call with anything when you have good hands.

I am better at cash games than sit and go's, however on sites which offer the 6-max double-up SNG's I do prefer playing those as the variance seems MUCH lower in my opinion.

SNG games are better to play, provided that there is a normal bankroll(SNG games minimum of$1).Good luck on the poker tables!:cool::cool:

In General, if you play well, you will be given any discipline. Each discipline is different. For example, the cache requires good postflop skills, and SNG and MTT push-fold situations. From my point of view, SNG is more suitable to start with. A mistake in the game's cache will cost much more than in a tournament with a certain buy-in. Also, SNG (more than MTT) teach understanding of the dynamics of the game and the General trends in General. However, the expected profit, of course, more in cash games. But I wouldn't recommend a cache for a start.

In my opinion SNG or a safer way to build your bankroll. In cash games you need to be more disciplined, if not you can easily loose your bankroll.

Some people, starting to play the cache, face many difficulties due to the fact that the pottery of each bank can potentially cost them real money if they lose. For them, this circumstance outweighs the benefits of the possibility of winning real money in cases where they win the pot. Thus, the psychological barrier of fear of losing will greatly influence their game and, therefore, they will not be able to play their best game. Also, at the level of micro-limit games, where a pre-flop raise call can only cost 6 cents, some people consider money again as an absolute factor rather than a relative factor and say to themselves, "Hell, 6 cents is nothing." I call. " Obviously, this is an incorrect way of thinking. If you find yourself thinking like this in cash games, then maybe they are not for you. When I started playing cache, I noticed something of this kind in myself and I know from reading numerous posts that so many new players in cash games are also experiencing this psychological effect.

In the SNG games, once paying buyin, you can forget about the money in the raffle of each hand, because instead of money you have tournament chips. The motivation for winning comes from contemplating the sums of the prize fund and the ability to be an absolute "winner" of the tournament. People who like to play SNG, the fact that the proud first place will be flaunted in front of their name, outweighs the potential risk of losing their buyin in the event that they finish the tournament in fourth place (in the SNG 9-max, the first three places fall into the prizes) .

From the point of view of the gameplay, the main difference between cash games and SNG is that in the cache games, by their very nature, there is no predefined set of correct ways of hand drawing and that the cash games depend very much on the nature of the game of each player, which means that you need to understand what each player does at the table. Obviously, there are standard ways of playing in each hand and that, on the other hand, there are also some moves that will never bring you money, but the ability to manipulate opponents at the table and the ability to make mums based on how the pocket cards of opponents look, look much more obvious.
