Hello guys,

I want to start to play poker for real, and have some good profit from it using the time I'm not in the college...
But I can't choose between play cash games or sit and go... Witch one you prefer and why?? Tournaments are out of the list now, because they demand so much time...

Thanks for the help!

If you can play somewhere like pokerstars that has a player search feature, cash can be the easiest way to make money in limited time. Take lots of notes on the whales, and every time you log in, go through your list to see if any are playing. Playing cash, all your winnings come from big fish. In tournaments, you gotta win *every* race against those idiots to stay in.

I suggest you stick to Sit and Gos as it will help your game. Cash games are okay to make some quick cash but you gotta be careful you aren't being cheated or advantaged on.

For more gameplay involving fairness I would stick to the sit and go.

depends on limits your going to play and how much experience you have , both cash and sit and goes can be profitable , ill say if you are just starting to build a bankroll i prefer sit and goes but later on if you serious about poker , mastering cash games is the way to go

I do not think it is a matter of time. You can play both and see where you are better. I am playing both, but more mtts and sngo.

I think you need to try to SnG, then it will give you the opportunity to play MTT when you have more time and you will see that you are successful in a SnG.

If you want to quickly raise the bankroll, then the cash game is just for such games, Sit & Go tournaments are also normal to raise the bankroll but only for 6 or 9 players and a contribution of at least $ 1!

Hi.
I mainly play only in MTT tournaments and sometimes in tournaments Sit & Go. In my opinion, in order to quickly increase the bankroll you need to play in tournaments with knockouts.
Good luck.

I think you need a good bankroll to play cash games. In sit and go single table tournaments you can can increase your bankroll in a slower but safer way.
Anyways, I would suggest you to try both and keep playing in the one that you get better results. Some players are better in one than other, so it's better to focus on what you're best at.

I prefer SnG because there are no buy ins nd the bingo players are usually no there, they are at the cash games.

Personal choice for those two type of games. If it is profit you're looking for, then the answer is a math question. Playing and grinding also should factor in which you enjoy more. Choice from how much you can make to what do you enjoy playing.

My opinion is - play SNG tournaments. But not 6 or 9-max. Play HU SNG turbo or SpinNGo tournaments. These tournaments I advise because they have a game on any limits, many bad players and the game is almost at any time of the day. The other tournaments are less profitable and recently not very popular.

Hello.
I am currently playing only in freerolls. I decided for myself that when I start to win some money in freerolls, only then will I start playing SNG tournaments for money.

Cash game is better because you can wait for good hands to play.

I would recommend focusing on one until you are a winning player.

I started with SNG's and learnt a lot of useful strategy and discipline that I can now adapt and apply to cash games.

It kind of depends on how much you have or can afford to lose. I have mainly played the sng's and have done well. I have however made a killing playing Omaha hi/lo in cash games.

The thing about cash games is you can easily lose what you have gained in minutes. the sng's you know before hand what is being risked. I know bankroll management dictates. But if you get sucked out on and feel you are the better player, you could be in trouble fast.

I prefer SNG. Find one you like. Look at the payout stucture. Then play that one kind over and over.

It depends on your bankroll and skill level. If you are a beginner I would recommend Microstakes SnGs and to study positional ranges and bet sizing. There is so much more than that to learn, but if you study and are making a profit playing the SnGs I would add microstakes cash games. Play tight.
