Bonjour

I broke the bankroll rule, leveled up too soon and paid the price.

Applying and respecting the bankroll rules makes the player more focused and calm which also makes him more applicable poker strategies.
Good luck

I think it happened to everyone. But don't forget that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Do not be upset, take a break and return to the game with new strength. Good luck.

This happens with almost all the poker players. The most important things is learn with your mistake and make a better bankroll managemente the next time.

Hi Friend.

Yesterday I was very upset, by mistake I entered a $ 27 tournament to buy, I lost half my bankroll because of that and today I did not want to level up at all and I ended up losing another little money, I hope I can get back. :(

Bankroll management should be first rule on list when you play poker!
And don't plat on tilt thinking I will win soon because I have to!
I loose so many coolers and my hands was better .
Sometimes it happened.
chill
Don't go for higher stakes because the player you played againts are fish and the play whatever the like.

yes

I broke the bankroll rule, leveled up too soon and paid the price.
the bankroll I've already broken the rules several times and ended up getting zero having to play freeroll again to get a bankroll again today I'm trying to balance myself but it's hard to see those tournaments paying 100k entries for $22 and see that my bankroll still only supports $5 .50 at the most it's hard to hold back

I made that mistake many times, poker is a very mentally demanding game. I got into a massive downswing in September, and I burned the whole bankroll.I have a hard time dealing with loss, that is the biggest problem, it is very difficult for me when I spend 15-20 days in a room every day for 6-7 hours and I realize that I am in the red.The interesting thing is that I am aware of the whole process and I know that the money will be returned in the long run, but I always fall into the same trap, crazy :)

I know what I should do, when I'm doing it I know I'm wrong, but I always go there and break the rules, of course, it's never increased money, but it's that little money that if playing within the rules I would be able to play from preset limits for a long time. time, my bank exits destroy my small profits.

And you should break the rule again - at least on tournaments. Nobody can win micros with tons of players per tournament but winning 40 player 250€ buy-in is something that even freeroll player can do. Trust me.

This is actally a pretty normal thing for a poker player, because mathematically you will always go ona hot streak and the boom it all comes crashing down upon you.I suggest to not get hot headed, and just keep playing your game.

I, too, have fallen into this trap more than once. Then I was punished for my impatience.

One rule.. always capture your gain, then you play

If I am on a lucky run, determine x% that goes into bankroll, then you can play with the remnant. Say, you are up 500, 400 goes into BR, 100 you play with. And when your 100 is gone, stop playing; you captured 400(80%), a good percentage of your gain.

Sometimes it is difficult to withstand the required condition. Maybe next time it will work out. This is the good thing that you can try again. Poker never ends.

If I lose it all, I lose it all. (That is in my Gambling Fund. There is a hard wall beyond that fund.) I will just put a new $10 into my gambling fund again next week. The key is to not spend the future gambling fund before it is in the fund. I can wait 11 weeks if I want to get into a $100 tourney.

On the other hand, I usually keep at least 5 entry fees kept back. Only once did I take money from the entertainment fund. That fund was building up anyway.

That's a pretty good method. It teaches delayed gratification. And also have to plan to have extra ahead of time, in case the $100 tourney shows up in the lobby with only 5 weeks notice.

If you are easily able to reload, then you really don't need a bankroll rule. :D

I never deposit, so am pretty strict about never spending more than 2% of my bankroll on any one tournament, except for the smallest site I play on where I decided to take my shot in a Thanksgiving $55 PKO when I only had $110 left in my account - I was fully prepared to take two shots at it, and if I lost it all I wasn't going to worry about it.

But thankfully, I somehow cashed on only a single buyin and while I wasn't able to make a deep run, I did increase my roll by 50% up to $150 which is my high point to date on that site.

I have no plans to try that again, but it was fun to take a shot at it and even if I lost it all I wouldn't have any regrets about doing it. I am really just playing for the fun of it, and for the challenge of turning my freeroll money into something more substantial. It's a tough challenge and a tough grind which is why I was ready to give up on that particular site... but thankfully it worked out for me and I can keep going with the challenge. It won't always work out tho, as long as we realize this fact, then we should be able to shrug our shoulders at it. The money I win or lose at this game isn't going to change my life in any way, and I'm okay with that.

Back to grinding the $3.30's again! :D

If you count how many times I broke the bankroll rule and paid the price, I would already be rich if I hadn't.
