Sometimes I play cash games. I don’t drink alcohol when I play, I noticed for a long time that I am starting to make mistakes under the influence of alcohol. Even beer consumption leads to a minus of bankroll.
I believe that poker is not good to accompany it with alcohol since it diminishes the senses and for this reason the declines may be those that do not give us the best results.
I think I've posted this before but I saw a bell-curve graph once that showed how well people play poker when drinking, and for me it's pretty accurate. At 0-2 beers, I play too tightly. At 3-4 I play best. At 5+ I'm spewing chips.
That's beer. I would never drink stronger proof alcohol and play anything other than freerolls.
