Must have went over my head. How does one count cards in poker? I can see guessing at your outs, if full ring there are 8 hands and 16 cards you don't see and are gone + burn cards = 18:50 you never see (36%). So your outs odds, however you calculate them x2 or x4 are anywhere from dead on to only 64% accurate.
Not sure this counts as a poker movie but The Sting is definitely a must see for all the gamblers out there. The poker game scene in the movie isn't more than 5 minutes but I watch this clip on you tube often. When Paul Newman turns over his hand well I don't want to ruin it for those that haven't seen the movie.....
It's a decent movie. Actual poker is kind of secondary to the plot though, as opposed to something like Rounders or Lucky You or even The Grand where poker and poker players are the main plot.
For me the best of all is "Rounders" and I think that "Molly Games" next to come out in December will be among the favorite of many is a movie that promises, in rottentomatoes it has 95% approval by the critics, it is the movie what more I hope this year! https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/mollys_game_2017/
