After the first couple of drinks, I become less of a tight poker player and more of loose, agressive poker player. After a few more drinks, I become less of a poker player...

If poker for you just fun it's ok. But if you want to earn money playing poker you shouldn't drink alcohol while playing poker.

Depends on how one handles there alcohol tbh. I rarely drink while playing. The most I ever have is 1 or 2 drinks. I never get belligerent or out of line while drinking anytime, so I personally think I could handle my actions just fine I just choose to abstain. On the other hand, I often see drunk players that are rude and obnoxious the more they drink. Definitely not someone I wanna play with. The casino has intervened in some cases but sometimes they ignore some of the regulars and their antics. Alcohol is not compatible with everyone on or off the felt.

Depends on how much to drink. If you drink not much,I think it won't hurt, but if drunk, then you stop watching the game and doing too much is not deliberate actions

Drinking will help you relax but too much and your play starts to drop. Socially drinking while you play is always fun though.

Alcohol in poker

I believe they don't match if your playing in a serious game like WSOP or anything else for serious money. But for places like a tourney charity then yes its great! Its a friendly environment and the money goes to a good cause in the name of a charity. Even at a friendly game with friends playing poker is fine. But I truly believe if your gonna play for serious money or in a professional tournament with high regards then definitely not. It all depends on type of tourney and environment. Thats my speel on the issue.

I think that alcohol and poker are compatible only if your opponent drinks!) in other cases it is the enemy for a good game!

If you are playing with friends to relax and fun then no problem but if you are playing cash or tournaments that you have pay for entry maybe is not a good idea because it can make your made a wrong decision and lost money.

Ilari Sahamis (Ziigmund), made a fast career as a professional poker player, but he became famous not only for victories, but also for dubious antics, which are explained by his craving for alcohol. according to Ilari Sahamis himself, alcohol caused a loss of almost $ 3,000,000 per session.
To play poker you must be 100% focused , alcohol won t let you focus , means you might do mistakes . In my opinion, if u want to play poker you must be mentally preparing, and focused. Hard to combine thoses things with alcohol

I have seen many players lose a lot of money at the poker tables,
just because they are consuming way to much alcohol.
So don't drink and drive your poker away..!

Oh, no ... attention abruptly dissipates from alcohol, fear disappears and, as a rule, rash actions are committed

Depends on who are drinking. If I drink I go bad, but I believe some guys can manage their drinking and still play good.

It's no good to mix one or the other safely. With alcohol falling concentrations and no success in the long run. Play poker without these nonsense, just natural water or juice.

I totaly disagree playing poker when you drunk, but if you play freerolls its not a problem.
On the other hand when you play a live poker or so with friends, i don't think alchool will be bad for you:)

if a friendly cash game, you can and drink in the company, if not all so seriously. but when the tournament and stakes are big, it’s better to limit yourself and only then drink for the victory[emoji23][emoji106][emoji482][emoji482][emoji482]
the more players will drink, the more I earn[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Yeah, and it's not good for blackjack either. I remember a time when I was young I was at the casino ****ed. I was playing blackjack and I was up over $1400 then lost it all plus all the money I brought and more. Never do that again.

Here's my take. You want to play small approx 50 player tournaments to build your bankroll and you want to take them very seriously and not involve alchohol. Once you have reached a goal and have plenty of money, it is acceptable to come down in stakes and make a daily or weekend casino tournament with 100 players and have a few drinks. This is what I call a No Sweat tournament and because you came down in stakes, even if your drinking causes you to loose, it won't set your career back. Good Luck[emoji108]
