It big quantities alcohol is def not good, but for some people in certain situations it does act as a "social lubricant". For example, if you were completely sober, maybe you would not have approached a girl you like in a a bar. Having a drink or two could make you more likely to do it. However, I think mixing alcohol and poker is a stupid idea.Alcohol is not only not compatible with poker, it is not compatible with life at all. How can the poison be useful ?

Spot on. From experience I can tell it can be more enjoyable, but rarely more profitable.Alcohol and high-performance sports definitely do not match. Poker is a sport where your power of decision is your best tool. Alcohol changes the senses and decision-making power of plays, making you make the wrong decisions much more often. Poker is already competitive and difficult without drinking alcohol. After its ingestion is a total disaster.
