For me just to have fun and maybe cashout big, tournaments are good if you can make the cut. But for the most part it is not a game of skill until you reach the bubble then poker starts. I find cash are more a game of skill and a better way to make a small profit more often. If you want to be serious player you need to cash games, it really picks up your skill level.

Hello.
I do not play cash games. Once I lost about $ 70 in cash games and I realized that cash games are not for me. I prefer tournaments and usually I play freerolls.

I used to be like that but now I prefer playing cash games for an hour or two. I struggle to play longer, it makes me bored mentally which makes me play badly, it happens on everything I do

I also do not like cash poker, I lose a lot of money there, I guess I play badly in this discipline and do not understand how to win money.

You really opened up my leak in poker.

I had a small bankroll of about $20 and decided to play .10 tournaments until I go to the point where I can move up in stakes. Eventually, I got impatient and decided to go to the cash games and play for $1.00 at a time. I blew my entire bankroll on cash tables.

When I looked back at the records, if I was playing only tournaments I would be at about $30+ bucks running positively.

Cash games is my leak. I know it and still lack the discipline to stay off the tables. Like you, I have tournament strategy down, although I need to run deep more often. I usually barely make it into the money. However, I have landed a first, second and a few third and fourth places to keep me running in the plus.

I have gone back to play freerolls until I build my bankroll as penance. I will not be depositing any money into pokerstars again. I am really mad at myself - and based on my stats, trips are the hands that get the better of me - those sneaky pocket pairs that hit on the flop. They really put the hurt on me with those.

Well, I will nurse my wounds and start over. But definitely prefer tournaments, since there is a cap on your loss. I find ring games more exciting and zoom quite the rush but will stay clear of them for now!

Hi.
Obviously, for me, cash game is more complicated, from a psychological point of view. In my opinion, tournaments are always easier to play.
Good luck.

I have a similar problem, I believe. While tournaments keep me on the edge at all moments in my efforts to increase my stack and calculating my M-factor (the amounts of orbits your stack size affords at any moment), patience in a cash game is not something I have mastered after 20 years of play. Statistics show that I will.

Sorry I wasn't clear in my last post . I like cash games , hate tournament

I just played a tournament for 3 and a half hours. I got fed up 2 hours in despite doing quite well. My KK runs in too AK. all in pre flop , ace hits the flop. Nearly four hours why. I want to win but I don't get excitement from the prize money I guess. And I struggle to sit down in one place for too long

In cash you know how much you win or lose in shorter amount of time.

Tournament it took me four hours to realise I lost.I can double my money on 25 nl cash game in around 1 and a half hours.

I also enjoy tournaments a lot more than cash hames, for many as the same reasons as you. Unfortunately I'm not in an area with many poker tournaments and I love playing live, so cash games are just about all I have for the most part.

Tournaments & Cash Games

I enjoy all the Texas Hold Em hanes, ezceexthoae new tournaments that have unlimited rebuts, triple add on.

I don't like turbo tourbo tournaments. I need at least 10 min blind levels in MTT.

I think the online casinos have added so many strange, tricks to the MTT.

If I do any of those it's because they gave me a free entry. I would never spend my money entering one.

For putting my money in Sit N Go or MTT tournaments with at least 10 min blind levels at minimum and no more than 3 rebuys and no add on. I love a simple Cash games always.

Lord, you are not alone, in addition to games on the cards, playing chess and dominoes, so it is cheaper and smarter.
