First off I'd like to say that this is an awesome way to spark interest into the forums and it really gets people to open up and come together as a group.
But on to the task at hand:
If I had to choose a poker pro to play heads up with it (and especially for the stakes you have described) it would have to be Phil Ivey. Now most people would probably want to play someone for that kind of money that they could easily beat. However if you want to be the best you have to beat the best (in his best event to boot).
I could have easily chosen Hellmuth just because it would have been awesome to play him, beat him and watch the madness ensue, but I'm sure there will come a time for that too. Or Doyle Brunson to pass a story on to my kids that I sat with a poker legend for the ultimate stakes win or lose.
Another few that come to mind would be Gold, Farha, Unger, Reese, Matusow but in my eyes it has to be Phil Ivey. Sure you'd get a good laugh, or a great story by playing with those guys but theres something about Ivey that intrigues me.
I watch alot of poker and theres just something about Iveys' game that separates him from your normal poker player (even the great ones). He has that uncanny ability to put moves on and make plays with no emotion at all. Plus that evil stare down that he puts on you doesnt hurt any either. The bragging rights and the chance to play against someone like Phil are a once in a lifetime opportunity......................
So there it is. Phil Ivey come get some!
