So I didnt play this weekend but UKIPT is in Bristol this week, should be playing day 1 on the Thursday, if this does not go well ill just play the 500 turbo on friday and the high roller possibly on saturday.
Hoping for some pretty good cash action so we will see how it goes.

So the festival started tonight, I went to see how the cash was. I get there and there is only 1, 1/1 holdem table. I sigh life and hang around to see what goes on plus I was meeting jurn to have a couple drinks so it wasn't ever going to be a wasted night.
After a while these Asian guys walk in and they want to play higher, Im like boom clap, erection lets get a 2/5 PLO game please.
Buy in for 2,500 play like a nit, game is super tight early. One of the Asian guys says he only gambles and plays more when hes up or down a lot. At this point I was up 1k from my holdem exploits at 1/1 so I oblige and we do a flip, 1k each. Bink. Up 2k, Asian guy starts gambling and potting. Win another 2k pot a little later on from his friend when I get nuts with nut redraw on turn against his nuts and I bink the redraw on river because of course I do, I am mother****ing marginal, I don't lose. up 3k at this point.
Asian guy then rebuys for 5k and I just was loving myself at this point. Get AQQ9 in CO in a straddle pot. I raise to 30, Asian guy calls, 2 other callers. Flop comes Q75 with 2 clubs and I have the Ac blocker. Asian guy donks for pot 120, I raise to 425 and he calls. Turn is a 4d and he donks into me again for 600. I take my time and call. River is Ah and he bets 1,500. I Time bank for roughly 2-3 minutes contemplating a call, I look over and he opens a redbull and takes a sip. This is the clearest indication of a bluff I have ever got from a live tell so I snap when he finishes his redbull. He shows busted higher straight and missed flush draw and ya boy wins a 5k pot.
Asian guy is now tilted and has 1k left, he asks for a flip and I cant say no at this point. He flops 2 pair, I turn straight because as I said, Mother****ing marginal here.
Left like 1 hour later up 6.5k.
I played probably 10 pots the whole night cause Im a nit but I mean, these guys just donating money. So on a night where I wouldn't have played unless Jurn messaged me to go, I win 6.5k.
Jurn is my guardian angel and a cool guy.

Also its worth noting, this is a casino in Bristol so there virtually has never been a 2/5 played here before. When the Chinese guy dropped the 5k plaque to rebuy the place goes mental like omg, a 5k chip. I lol inside obviously.
Then you have loads of railbirds cause again, they cant fathom people sitting with 10k etc. Its weird, people are super nice though but I prefer the London mentality where no one gives a shit and just leaves you and lets you be.

UKPT started at 12;00. The start time is relevant to this story.
first level everyone has 25k chips, we are on second orbit when Asian guy from last night shows up. I obviously get excited. hes in seat 9 and I am in 1 so I have direct position as well. Joy.
A few hands later at 12;25, I am in the big blind. I have JJ, its folded to small blind who opens to 300, I 3 bet to 800. He calls
Flop is 723dd. he checks, I bet 1,000, he raises to 3,500. I take my time in calling.
Turn is a 3. He bets 5,500 and I call.
Before the river comes out, he goes all in blind for 15k, he has me covered so I am effectively all in. I lol inside cause he could never have value here however the river is the A of spades. Doesn't complete a flush but you know its never a good card cause random bluffs and Axdd got there.
I time bank calls and he shows A7 with no diamonds.
Marginal is first person out of the UKIPT main event Bristol 2015 lasting all of 27 minutes. I hate when they call seat open, the room looks around like whos the fish to get bustod.
