I always suggest the best way to learn is to play and get people to look at you play. Im not big on what training sites are still around but im guess its completely different now.

But independent thought on the game and conversations with others has always worked for me.

I could probably do OK at PLO or PLO8 (prefer PLO8) but my bankroll is insufficient for any real money game currently spread on any site available to US players. This makes me a bit unhappy, as PLO/8 is by far more interesting than NLHE.

Also, Im thinking of asking the casino for a live game where its straddled to the button, blinds will be .25/.50 and straddled to the button.

Min buy in would need to be like 5k

Went last night to the Vic only played 2/5 holdem cause the games wouldn't run. Made like 1.8K in like 5 hours.

Only 1 hand was when I 3 bet AK, flop 2 pair and got 3 streets of value.

Nice, so is it just that the PLO for the limit you want to play doesn't run or is the group of players that drives the PLO games in general that sporadic and obviously casual players who are not there every night?

I guess the weekends should always be pretty juicy with the games gtd to run?

So tonight we were playing 5/10 Omaha 3 handed, made a whole 100 pounds

PLO runs more during th week and the whole card room is more active durin the week. The weekends are generally dead for some reason I haven't been able to figure out after 2 years

That's super bizarre. Also, not sure how I was unaware you had a thread up until now.

My fun PLO hand for the night was misreading my hand and the board. Spoiler: QJT7cxcy on K84ccx is not a straight draw/flush draw. Somehow I decided my Jo was on the board and my QTcc was still in my hand. Oops.

I do want to post hands but all my hands are just triple barrel bluffs. Sometimes I get calls, sometimes I get folds.

I am going to have to stop bluffing a bit because I think I am being called down more often than anyone else who is playing with us. Im pretty sure I could get away with a couple of sessions of just value betting. But because of my bluff tendencies, I am pretty much getting paid off every hand lol. I just like to think I have the most balanced range out of anyone in those games. Whether its a good thing or bad thing who knows.

For example, today I flopped top 2 pair on an AT5 board. I bet flop, get called, I bet turn, I get called. River is a K. I check, guy checks. He turns over KKxx. Hes not a bad player but hes stopped folding to me now.

to be honest, i hate stacking chips, to me i just want 1 stack of reds, 1 stack of blues, 1 stack of orange and then colour me up. I dont like holding 50,000 chips. its uncomfortable.

So Ducky came down to play some poker this weekend. I finished my session at 2/5 PLO, won like 700 but that's unimportant.

Before I leave, I sit at the 1/3 where ducky is playing. I sit with 1k and I am in the big blind. I get 97dd and ducky raises from the button to 6, the SB calls and I raise to 30. Ducky calls and SB folds.

Flop comes 442cc I cbet for 60 and he calls.

turn 9s, I bet 125 and he calls.

river Kc. I jam 700, ducky starts to timebank. I call the clock. He then calls, I flip over my hand confidently and he mucks.
