My poker gone to the next level

$35 now hehe this is hilarious but also great for me. I know it's bad to get this far down but getting myself out of this mess is just another feeling altogether and I love a challenge and if I'm going to go up to higher limits I have to be able to handle these types of pressures and make money decisions or i'll lose before I even got there.

I just have the I won't die without a fight and win at all costs. Not sure if theres another step down after the sit n go's so it's kinda make or break for me but atm its pointing towards make and now I have 30buy-ins at $1 which is great, should really check my win rate but I had pokertracker off


Now I've been 4-6 sit n go's sametime anyways maybe i'll wait til I hit $100-$120 before I go to 4nl but theres less pressure atm but ill do what I said I was going to do in the end and build up my br at 4nl until the end of the yr once I get there that is.

Alright so I have played cash games solid ... dropped down stakes dropped down stakes... dropped more played sit n go.

sitting at $15 feeling flat bankroll.... Done everything possible to keep it.


So what do I do.


Win a pub tourney 100+ field buyin $32.... and took home $1500 lol

given $1000 to wife/family to say thanks for putting up with me learning the game.

$200 will be going to the casino playing 1/3 and having a crack which I can outplay those muppets as long as I don't have any bad beats early on. Twice as strong a player now so hopefully I get a nice heater to begin with

And $300 will be going into pokerstars if I do run out of my br on 888 which I'm still not going to just giveup that last $15 still will try and recover. Going to do an aggressive single table sit n go with $11 see if I can win a couple or cash in a row which I know I can do. Will be playing most likely 5nl nothing too fancy since the competitions a bit stiffer will start with 4-6 tables and increase as I go up with my BR hopefully.


Also need to get some more pub tourneys under my belt since it took 5 or 6 to actually win one at 30-40 dollars a piece... If I can win within another $10 games that is a great win rate probably unrealistic but they are muppets with a small percentage of good players, hell lastnight I didn't even get prem pockets once... and ak lost me ... pocket 3's was my best hand with jj3 board haha ... AJ knocked out some people at the final table

Anyways im resting today since I was up til 2am lastnight winning might have a sit n go later today.

Yes I know it's roughly 30buyins per sit n go... so whatever buy-in or game I'm going to be under rolled ...

Taking a stab will be alright once. I'll move on if I fail to pokerstars but if I succeed I will go back to 2nl if I win $30

Don´t waist your time with the $15, just leave those there for future, deposit the $300 on Stars and start your new challenge.

Yeah well tonight i'll have a go at stars it feels... Was frustrating on 888 cuz I was doing right decisions and just slipping away but this should boost me up and hopefully I can follow up a nice win or two at the casino...

Unfortunately at this point I'm playing it smart with money and giving back money to the family, I get the wife seeing something from me and when or if I start making it a regular occurance, winning tournies I mean which I could easily do i'll start pushing to play more live games. I know enough that not to get carried away at this stage and take the win and see if i can do it again.

Okay so i reloaded and put just over $200 in because of the conversion rate i lose a little bit.


Anyways lastnight i lost $24 over 1k hands. It's to be expected and i was always worried about winners tilt after a big win so i avoided the tables somewhat this w/e. But i felt it was a genuine downswing and players play diff as well so i wanted to adjust. Fixed up table layout and a f ew other tweaks like card setups etc.

Earlier session today though i played 1583 hands at up $3.50

About to hit it again... playing 2nl basic level because 5nl lastnight i was getting owned but I'm still getting use to the layout and different style which i have somewhat adjusted since i played decent smorning.

Will see how i go bankroll is $204 currently. Will be looking to head upwards today though 210-220 hopefully but whatever happens... Just decision making and actually since I'm playing well above my BR i won't even bother flicking through to my bankroll mid session and see how that effects my play as well.

I'll post some hands later today.

You are playing fullring, rigth?.

Even when 100bi´s is way too much i think for now is fine if stay on 2nl for some days until you get use to gameplay on Stars, for sure is different than 888.

On the table part if you are a winning player and playing FR, sure, load 9, but if not should try less, also when try shots on 5nl again try less to give full focus.

Browsing previews page i see you post 6max hands, if you are playing 6 max 9 tables are too much really.
You not going to learn playing so much tables, play less even if is 2nl.

Slightly a bit too aggressive but i thought if someones got the straight i could make a full house.... And by the turn i had a flush draw in there as well. In the end most times i'll only get called by better hands but sometimes i get called by the A7 or the straight and hit the full house.

Things I've learnt since pokerstars.... Never call a 4bet shove with AK or QQ it normally doesn't end well

Also so far everytime I have 89 or low end cards near button I get AK10 flops... when I have AK AA type hands I get 678 flops heh frustrating

Some decent plays today but really need to fix the 4bet shove calls. -$10 with 3.5k hands argh and 7 dollars of it to that hand above, frustrating but oh well no stress... Ohhh yeah and low end pockets I gotta be extra careful OOP cuz ppl 3bet a lot more in stars and make you pay.

It's a lot harder to 3bet light as well. So I have put that on hold for the moment.

Had a decent session... I mean not winning much but restricted my losses well I believe.
