short sprint 379 hands $11. BR is $117.

Going to make sure these sessions where I know I'm on a time limit.. I'll quit soon as I've got 10+, since the closer the time is to finish I get edgy and start losing.

Longer sessions where I got all day etc doesn't seem to effect me as much.

The whole not going bust and keeping control even though my BR was lowering at a decent pace... Having the smarts to drop limits even two limits probably saved me a bit as well... Anyways just learning curves and like I said before next step is minimizing those downfalls. Because some were coolers but mainly it was me playing badly as the above hands show.

Anyways thanks for feedback guys. And looking forward to minimizing the loss this month so far -$114 it was -140+ anyways will be happy halving it or even breaking even would be an awesome feeling but since I'm playing 4nl, i'll have to absolutely kill 6nl to achieve that. Or just make sure I quit at $10+ a day could be easy enough. Won't have the volumne but the money will be there.

The other option perhaps is just sit on 4nl where I am totally crushing and just build it slowly but surely on this level. And move up when I hit 1k BR to 6nl ... Long time though

I do want to save up $200 extra and hit the casino to have another stab at 1/3 and just whatever winnings I have deposit into my account. But that'll have to wait til I'm at least $350 so I don't cut my roll too short.

I did well at the casino conseriding what I knew back then... so yeh hmmm patience is the key.

total today 1388 hands $24.93 ... BB -.47 and co -3.69

Big postion winner was Button followed medium and then SB.. ep with 2 :)

bankroll $130.95 hopefully can back it up with another 20 dollar day tomorrow and go up the stakes Sunday :)

Will not get carried away and just take it as it comes. If I keep playing like I did tonight it'll be a breeze. But ofc we aren't robots unfortunately.

845 Hands and made $6.95 bankroll is now $139.66 being sat will hopefully get in another 1k a bit later today. Was mainly solid but 2 hands questionable. TPTK paying off medium 2 pair from the flop. 99s noticing someone bluffing a lot and I happened to run into him when he had AA.

Still heading upwards but could've been mid 140s these lil decisions cost me money so yeh :)

What BRM are you following??

You mention playing 4nl then mention 6nl shots or to move up to 6nl, but some hands posted are 10nl when BR was like $110 or something, confused with that.

Couple questions on Hand C

What is your standard bet size opening on BTN?, asking this because you bet 3.5x there when usually we bet less on BTN because most of the time we are stealing.

Some go with 2x, 2.5 or normal 3x, i do it 2.5x and still have a pretty decent steal succes even when open 44%+ on BTN. But 3.5x is more for when want to extract value.

On hand C, SB is a 60/0 fish so we should expect he is going to call us there a lot, then no point to bet 3.5x when we are stealing.

I don´t like flop bet size, we got a strong draw but we pretty much cut ourself the odds when we pot flop instead of give ourself the odds to continue with the hand.

We usually play draws agressive when we have higher FE, which in this hand is not the case vs this villain.

10nl hands were previous before the downward spiral... It was last month before the drop.

Anyways I'm sticking to 4nl I just lost a lot on 6nl haha $120 again ... I think i'll stick to 4nl until I make 1k at that level... some reason I just kept getting burnt. Well I lied i'll stick it out 6nl until I'm down 100 or I'm up 250. I guess it was horrid run hah QQ vs KK against someone who opens a lot. But maybe it was nervous play for some reason not sure why.

I'm using 25 buy-in.

I normally 3xBB no matter what position I'm in and what cards I got. It's a grey area I've readup you can bet less and entice and put blinds in bad situations especially as fish. Or you should put more money in position because we have the edge lol.

equilab is a free download and you can play with it to get an idea of your likely equity in various scenarios

http://www.pokerstrategy.com
Board: 4dQs8s
Equity Win Tie
BU 34.75% 34.75% 0.00% { JsTs }
SB 65.25% 65.25% 0.00% { 8d8c }

basically you were a 2:1 favourite on the flop . WHether he would have called your shove with worse is another matter. if you flat the flop and shove over any turn bet your equity improves and you get extra value compared to the times he folds to your flop shove

http://www.pokerstrategy.com
Board: 4dQs8sAh
Equity Win Tie
BU 29.55% 29.55% 0.00% { JsTs }
SB 70.45% 70.45% 0.00% { 8d8c }

hand E looks good until the river. No Ax or 6x is ever folding there so that all you beat with your bet is his bluffs which are never calling that board anyway.looks like check and evaluate his bet size . Ax may bet small scared of you havng 6x but calling a large bet on that board is going to be spew. I don't thnk anyone is going to bluff big on that board since Ax is going to be a big part of your range

hand F . flop raise is a little small, passive player shoving the turn like that is usually the nuts . just fold ...looks like he just hit his set of queens or his TJ just got there.

hand G. pre flop was way too big (.20 would be better) , these guys are just fish paying the penalty blinds like that. sure its a big pot to steal pre but these guys have just made a big investment into the pot and they are gonna fight for it . Looks like a hand that ran away with itself spewing a bigger and bigger pot with a marginal hand and bigish draw. but your draws could always be second best.

Hand E. Yes I should've just gave up on the river, these guys turn up with a lot of weird stuff sometimes. And not betting just entices a bluff which in this spot would work. Sometimes I run into people with 2p or PP hah but I did bluff bad in the end.

Hand F. I was trying to get 2 people into the hand to get paid off, I guess it was my downfall in the end and could've just ended the pot with a pot size bet possibly.

Hand G. Yeah I guess I got trapped with this hand, I guess the hand looks prettier than it's strength. Probably better to take a more nittier approach with this hand and save money. I think also it got the best of me because I don't normally find myself with that hand in that spot so it was somewhat new terrority as well. Normally my 1 gappers don't hit that well, and I guess I was a lil rusty with it.

So update.

Weekend at 4nl $52.61 at roughly 4k hands. Not bad :) 32.77/100bb

lost at 6nl but like I said I'm just going to stick at 4nl and build my roll slow but sure way but at this rate it's not too slow really.

Will start doing a tourney once a month depending on how much I make during the month. So if I make $100+ I will take a stab at a 15-30 dollar tourney with less traffic but guaranteed pay out structure.

Also when I hit a certain amount I will take $200 out and have a crack again at 1/3 table at the casino and see how I go, I know they aren't great at that level but there are some good regs so still have to becareful.

Anyways the winnings will be boosted in my BR online.

That's the plan. I'll also keep positing hands so any feedback is always welcome thanks.

Also is there any good reads on boards that are Paired? I think I know how to play them well but I just wanted to do some reading because you can always learn something. Especially low paired cards on the board.

33 - as played fold flop - i'd have raised to .20 pre and cbet 1/2 pot and if still in the hand check it down

TT - since his 3bet is high (sample size) and he looks agro fish i'd 4bet him pre to 1$ and get it in ....although going to be high variance. wouldn't take any notice of what he claims he had.

AJ - i'd probably 3bet to .30 pre and cbet 1/2 pot check tuurn and small blocker bet on the river and fold to a raise.

JJ - I'm 4betting to 1$ pre and getting it in. 2/3 pot cbet on flop and stacking off on turn.

33... General I do raise with any pp 3xbb from any position and call any 3bet unless the raise is more than 50... But then i'll call if we both deepstacked. I feel comfortable cbetting anything but I just feel its burning money with low pockets unless it's a danger board which scares the opponent or a good dry flop. Though AK8 I have heard isn't a bad flop to bet on. I mean anyone with a K won't feel comfortable or an 8 so we can get better hands to fold I guess.

TT: Yeah varience would be high I guess since he said he had AK he's most likely bluffing since his 3bet% is quite high, I know it can be a tell that ppl talk after a bluff to boast. I rarely ever find a spot to jam 10s unless against someone who goes all in almost everyhand pre.

AJ: Hmmm interesting AJoff isn't a hand I normally play much unless I open at the CO or button. I know how to play big pots with them but not mediocre/small pots so I guess I'm losing money.. I feel I could learn more with AJ.

JJ: Yeh I guess I could've made a lot more from him pre since he was deepstacked fish it seemed and confident to put money out there, could've been a wasted moment tho at the time I thought I got the most out of him but didn't consider pre/flop could've hurt him more. And looking at it now he was ready to spew all of it.

This months gone bad to worse for me... and ive had bad beats/play bad... I drop stakes as you do and now im down as far as sit n go's but recovering oddly enough lol

Oh well whatever it takes I'm still in there. Im not going busto. as down as $6 dollars and now im back to $23... on the way of another 60c in the money :)... Anyways hopefully I can slowly rebuild like this.

Breaking even with Headsup dollar games though im either hot or cold with them.... $2.80 sit n gos are going really well for me and dollar :) anyways hoping to make 80 before 4nl again

But if I do recover.. this really gives me confidence to move up because I know I can drop down and do whatever it takes to regather myself and learn.
