Yes definetly true and he's well respected... I was watching poker after dark 50k buy-in actually still in the middle of watching it...


Just the reactions of the other players and how they kept trashing him how nitty he is ... Yeah he is quite the tag but watching him play he does great lay downs etc and tight folds. He plays live like the internet it seems. I hope one day I'm half as good as him anyways.

I remember he did that 0-10k within I think 2 yrs ? that's really awesome.


And heres me celebrating since Tuesday last 5.1k hands at 4nl I've made $55 haha it seems Monday wasn't such a great day it was a neither here or there.


lastnight i made $12 in just under 2k hands thing was last 2 Fridays have been down due to tiredness but i was just more aware of it lastnight and dug deep.

total for sat 4.5k hands at $36 14.59bb/100 ... I'd lie if it was perfect but a few moments I felt vulnerable but I still got a decent day done. Biggest day of hands I've done.

I did 6nl for a bit of the $36 I made $22 from it.

Was a dip cuz I was up $42 which was my peak. then almost back to broke even. But soon made it up and running good I went to 6nl...

Rolls at $180 ... I'll drop down at $120... But i'll move up to 10nl at $300 minimum and drop down to 6nl if I hit $200... Should be enough buffer... Anyways nothing to be overly excited just need to remain focus and just get the job done and get through the next level.

Some reason in the past I felt 6nl is easier than 4nl... I still keep that feeling.

Overall for this month 36.7k hands at $49

Running at 4.89bb/100 overall ... been swingy lately but bankroll is sitting at 186 now.


Next few goals will be.

Bankroll $300..... perhaps $250 if I hit that next weekend since weekends are best time to go up a level and take advantage of fishies but i'll go back down when I hit $180. (40buyins will take place at 20nl where I'm a little uncomfortable) due to no experience there and never beaten that level yet.

Silver status on 888 I'm around %75.

Way I'm going maybe 50k hands for the month.


Had about 1.4k hands today not the best performance but still made $6... was down as much as $32.

Some hands like JJ shoved a 4bet ran into KK... 10's ran into JJ ... QQ ran into AK and A hit. 10s hit a set and ran into a flush on the river... last hand was more respectable and the QQ's is standard, but I paid the price with my JJ and 10s vs JJ ... Got a bit tilty and pushy and had a lil break and regathered and got momentum back.

Should've been $210 roughly but oh well any day in the + is good.. Just good I got reminded why I don't play them that way

Another day 1.5k hands + $8.47 ... spent most of it in the negative but stopped the bleeding and built momentum up twice.

Took a break after feeling a bit steamy and come back and felt good

Started the night off with +10 then faded and went down 20.... ended up roughly -8 tonight no biggy I guess... Just felt like a struggle tonight tho I still gained a bit but too tired to carry on.

I'll get them next time when I'm refreshed still above $200 ... aiming for $250+ for weekend and i'll hit 10nl unless I'm under 250 then I won't touch it..

Got a few tables stacked up good which is always nice 6nl sitting with $24 odd and another table was $15 .. good launching pad to make a good boost but like a I said tired... Even had one guy believe a betting pattern but I can use it next time. I remember lil technical stuff like that per player I guess it's one of my strengths.

Note to self.

I'm feeling I'm getting too goal orientated especially putting $250 for this weekend...

So I'm taking off that goal and just relaxing with it and if I make it this w/e its good... or next weekend or even in a months time.

As long as I keep making correct decisions and play good poker i will get there just time will tell when... But it doesn't matter when as long as i get there even if it's a months time.

Reminding myself it's all about a marathon and not 100m sprint. I've had a good start at rebuilding a bankroll and my aim is controlling the 20nl... Overall goal is huge and extreme and i know i can do it but ppl will laugh... But that's what helps make me all that more powerful and drives me to push on.


Tonight will prolly do about 2hrs will only have a 1k session or if i get 15+ i will stop asap.

Also taking a break tomorrow night and i owe it to my wife to give her a date every once n a while she's been patient with me and poker though it is time consuming.

Saturday will be the bulk of my play and should be silver status on sat I'm about 94% now which is good because i did 2.5k hands lastnight.

Okay so Thursday 6nl At just over $200 the tables are all %20 flops really stiff tables.

I end up losing like $10... go on 10 nl and I play for quite a while because the tables seem juicier more like 36% - 40% flops seen. So means should be some fishies.

Anyways I end up finishing $164.... All day Friday at work its bothering me I was annoyed I was outplayed and it was tougher than normal at 10nl as well. *Went off the gameplan and i lost a bit* gutted actually and disgusted at myself.

Anyways I come home Friday spend time with the kids have dinner I'm relaxed planning on staying away for the night... Then it comes to me and my mindset is just I know I'm going to be alright if I go back to 10nl... Sounds dangerous but I think if I do a 20buy-in for a short period I can go with my instincts .... I felt ready my mind was focused.


So Friday night I finished at round $186... felt great i just changed my gameplay, it wasn't stranger to me i just had to change my strategy a bit.

Saturday played 2.2k hands finished my 2 day sessions and going to play tonight but so far I'm up $70 today my bankroll is at $251... A bit unorthodeux but i had a plan a strategy... Well i crushed them all 6 tables i was winning well.


Anyways I'm enjoying 10nl I've noticed I've actually gotta use some of the things I've learnt along the way and outplay, outskill people Anyways the jump from 6nl to 10nl is quite a big difference in game style... But just lucky I've played $1-3 dollar no-limit and won quite well there and i remember hearing from this chat that 10nl is the same as 200nl at the casino... So i played my old live strategy and it's worked great plus what I've learnt along the way so that's how i knew I'd be alright.

I'm just gotta get it done and 20nl here i come... I've got the edge at 10nl now i know it's been 2 days but meh i just know and I'm climbing, watch out! (enthusiastic) on break until i calm down and refocus

Not enough time to play or play in the right frame of mind.

Just flicking through poker tracker and readup something about combo's. Anyways that's what I do if I'm too tired to play or my mind won't be ready I analyse or learn something different.


Anyways i did overall like even including when i was losing badly. If i go back as far as 160k hands I'm still in the green which is always a nice feeling.

I know it's far from over and I'm always looking to improve and take it further. But just good to pat yourself on the back every now and again.

Anyways still sitting just above $250 last 2k hands was rather levelled as the games tightened up as the night got longer..


Table selection seems to make a big difference. But i see i won't have that luxury once i hit 100nl ... So i'll need to learn to beat these guys at the lower level and exploit them.

Got up to $281... but now at $236... I broke a personal rule of mine.

Played when wife+son was home, distraction but I can't fully blame that tho.

One hand a cooler.

2nd hand flush draw/gutshot and I shoved and missed everything, that's just how I roll sometimes, sometimes im more conservative.

3rd hand was the spew 2 pair low cards and ran into a flush oh well he didn't let go of his low end flush wrong opponent.

Anyways still happy 200+ and hopefully cement myself in 10nl a bit more and perhaps get up in 20nl over the next month.

Yes I'm playing 888... well what level I'm playing is depending on my bankroll atm I'm flicking between 6nl and 10nl depending on how soft the tables are and how I feel.

My next goal for next month will be bankrolled for 20nl... If not at least $300 bankroll but I'm hoping to be $500+ ... I was going to do a 30 buy-in level but 25buyin feels right it gives me enough buffer to play a bit before having to go back down in level. but like I said more realistically happy with 300+ and if worse comes to worse still above 200... or have money in the account lol ... But I don't think like that when I play, I just play and whatever happens hopefully I'm playing well. Nothing worse than a bad river call or a reraise missed.

Anyways thanks for jumping on board I'm hoping to climb as high as I can... skies the limit but as long as I keep within myself and don't do anything too stupid. Spent a lot of money at the lowest levels gaining experience learning how to play my cards... Reading up on things when I gave up on the tables... Etc had a lot of good runs and bad runs and learnt how to handle bad beats well.. Feel I have a lot of promise and it's time now to prove to myself I can make it to the next level and not stay at the bottom.

I guess beating 10nl would bet the next level but ultimate would be crushing 20nl. And I'm using this thread as a journal ... Any comments is always great or read on and enjoy.

But according to 888 looks like $3-$6 will be my peak before it dies down in numbers and I'll think of other options then but that's a long way away and still uncertain I came make it that far. But as long as theres a .01% i'm in

Well I played lastnight on my mobile at 20nl single table only... Just took a stab what the hell I use pokertracker for graphs and analysing but the real indepth details I don't really use... Except knowing how aggressive someone is and 3bet oh and their fold for turn/river incase I need to get them off a hand which is nice

Anyways I was down lastnight to $204... I couldn't sleep was a bit upset about it all after that was disappointed. Next time i do something like that on my phone i'll play a $12 tourney or something. something with about 50 people roughly or less better chance of winning i feel.

Anyways i played tonight and did a 1k session and played 10nl... Bankrolls now at $223.73 so not a bad time... Won some money and got labelled as fish i'm sure which is always the best thing especially for the next time i see them!.

Anyways the end of the month been a good month... This following week or two feels really important to me... If i can get a good start to the month 2 weeks of solid great play, well doesn't have to be solid just has to be winning sometimes good or bad just whatever it takes to get the money sometimes.

Anyways got a lil buffer over $200 ... If i hit $150 i'll drop down to 6nl. I'm thinking the magic number for 20nl will be $500, i said 30 buyins previous but seems too conservative especially with upswings etc so 25buy-ins... I was a bit lax with 10nl cuz I've had a lil bit of xp with it not much tho but i know i crush 6nl.

Anyways excited hopefully i can shut the critics up around me but i don't need to prove anything to them just be what i'm suppose to be .

But I frustrated a lot of regs and it's just experience which is invaluable against these players.

Didn't play my best. But everytime I was almost up I'd run into a cooler AA vs KK twice and the K hit both times haha. But that's nothing that's just everyday.

So I played 3.1k hands and lost $60...Won all positions except the blinds.

anyways bankroll is $148 and I'm now playing 6nl and I'm folding everything from blinds now except premiums.

Just have to remember I would have +30 if I wasn't stupid on my ph and tried 20nl oh well see if can turn it around at 6nl

Main thing is to stop the bleeding... Still confident but a lil frustrated I think the levelling BR the last few days took it's toll on me and I was a lil tiltish lastnight chasing hands I shouldn't of even been in.

But if I can put that all behind me and work on where I'm at now I can rebuild and take another stab at 10nl... But i'll wait til I'm $250 again which could be a week or two away or even further depending how I'm playing.

Just gotta concentrate making the right decisions and just make sure I fold those blinds because it didn't need to get to this. Anyways I still got money and a lil increase today so not end of the world, but these are the moments that'll prove how good or bad I am

Taking a day or two off until I get my head right... this downward spoil is taking it's toll and well i'll take a break... still can get back and win but I won't if I keep heading this way..


Oh well can do with a weekend with something else for a while. I'll come back over rolled at 4nl and see how I go until I play better then I can go back to 6nl. I'd rather be playing bad at 4nl then at higher stakes.

I understand what your saying Alfie.But I still believe I can move this downswing back up anyway by making accurate correct decisions.

I've learnt a lot and I have to use everything I got now to make sure i don't go bust

I'm taking a break which is required as well.. Then i'll analyse my game and then i'll correct myself if i see anything terrible and hopefully i can go on crushing 4nl and head to 6nl again.

Problem is when i readup or study it puts me off my game because i have to adjust it into my game somehow. First i get worse and then i get slightly better than i was previous before, that's the cycle for me anyway.

Still playing everyday and struggling... But I've had a sense to drop down stakes and somehow I've become a calling station pay off wizard lol...

Gotta love tilt *not* anyways going 1c 2c for a while ... rolled for 2c 4c at round 80 dollars. Ouch I know but I still havn't busted.

I was stupid yesterday I was at 101 and went up 118 ... But now I'm down to 80 oh well when things go bad and you don't hit ur big outs. And they hit their low percentage hands it hurts.
