I'm with Logan here, cap tables are useless if you are a winning player...definitely get on stars.

I was lucky enough to be at a table with 3 fish and in the last 1.8k hands I have a 94.1 bb/100 winrate so just goes to show that maximising against fish when they are superstacked is what gives you the biggest income at these stakes.

Example:

pokerstars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (8 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.com

MP1 ($30.38)
MP2 ($2.16)
CO ($1.97)
Button ($1.29)
SB ($2.14)
BB ($4.95)
UTG ($1.91)
Hero (UTG+1) ($8.63)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 10
club.gif
, 10
diamond.gif

1 fold, Hero bets $0.06, MP1 raises to $0.10, 4 folds, BB calls $0.08, Hero calls $0.04

Flop: ($0.31) 10
heart.gif
, 6
club.gif
, 6
spade.gif
(3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, MP1 bets $29.66, 1 fold, Hero calls $8.53 (All-In)

Turn: ($17.37) 4
diamond.gif
(2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($17.37) 10
spade.gif
(2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $17.37 | Rake: $0.30

Get over here and get in on the action!

Edit: Here, have some rungood!

When read 10 buyins and see is 5nl was excited to see a $50 pot or at least a $20 pot if is caped, i feel cheated:p

Agree with Acky that wasting time playing cap tables, but is a waste to be playing on Fulltilt anyway if can play on Stars, so i guess is ok if is ok for you.

GL on your thread K.
yeah sorry, it was 10 buy-ins because it was a shallow table, 80c buy-in.
bet the flop in AQ hand
most of the time I do, but it seems I get called a lot and then not sure whether to barrel the turn. Ive found it's more effective if I check the flop on a nothing board and CB the turn, the fishes fold more often there.

As for capped games, Im only playing them whilst I find my feet at this site, Im a little rusty at the mo.
Going for a session now, give me luck Kelly:

Don't think we should be calling the 3bet preflop. Though you do have position so it might not be the worst thing ever. Deff don't call the flop bet when it gets donked ,then raised.

was a loose call, but it was either fit or fold on the flop. OTF, their bets were so small I was thinking maybe they both have AK/AQ etc, and were cbing. I was just hoping for the money card, which luckilly came on the turn. I dont always play suited connectors, but this time it paid off.

Yeah I bet that flop for much the same reason as JB, we're probably missing value if we don't. No reads on villain?

So Ive got $234 plus $10 ring game ticket in br, still playing 2nl and 5nl. so thats 49 buy-ins at 5nl. Ive just looked at 10nl, their cap games are $3 max, and shallow tables are $4. Think Im gonna mix in a table or two of them. Good move?

just so easy to play ABC poker and clean up.
It's almost unfair. They should have a ranking system to protect these (poor) idiots. :p

Hey... it cost me to learn too. ;)

Does that mean you'll be playing 0.05/0.10 blinds with a $3 or $4 max BI? That means you're like 30-40bb stacks? Why do you want to play short?

Yea i dont think theres any sense in playing the short stacked or cap games.. theres just as many fish at 5nl and your not sitting with half a stack.. id say just keep playin ABC at full stack micro games

Ok this really doesn't apply to this hand persay. But i might of have found a leak in my game. I got to thinking about what if i was villain and i had AsQs. I would prob 3bet pre but not all the time. So this flop comes out villain UTG bets .25 i bump it to .80 if villain calls and turn is a brick say 4h. I was thinking i would pot that all day long. If turn card comes 6s,Jh i would bet ~1.10 and set up for a river shove. Now looking at it like that if UTG has KQ gets c/r on the flop calls.Turn bricks off and i bet pot, this really puts my range on sets or draws. And since there are a hell of a lot more draws on the board KQ should prob snap call that turn all day long. Just makes me wonder if my go to line on a board like that is a major leak.

^^^ does that make any sense.

Yep, although AQss is borderline the nuts though so, I'm happy getting aggressive with it vs anyone but the biggest station, and even then...

hour session tonight, up a dollar, but wasnt really concentrating too much, as I was trying out cascaded tables rather than tiling them like I normally do(4 tables). cascaded 6, worked pretty neat, will try more next time, think I might like it.
Here's a fun hand from tonight, think this player was Doyle Brunson:

nice 1000 hand session, tables were full of fish, and I couldnt hit a thing. guy next to me on one table was 82/62 over 100 hands, and he was hitting left right and centre every time. I managed to break even for the session, so happy with that as Im racking up points and clearing bonus.

had a bad 1 hour session. couldnt hit anything, AQ and AJ getting beat by AK, suited connectors missing flops, and my big pairs getting sucked out on. Lost $6, but most of it was from my ring game ticket, so it wasnt too bad overall moneywise. Gotta go to work, will play again tonight.
