I think 3betting AQ in most cases is -EV, borderline suicidal. Trust me I'm pre-law, oops, pre-med.

Here's a topic;

4betting with 100bb effective stacks; should you ship or just re-raise something like 36-40bb??? Defend your answer, and if you advocate the 36-40bb 4bet explain how you would play postflop,with or without scare cards (read an Ace when you have KK QQ) and how you would respond to a donk shove on the flop. Also give some general thoughts about 4betting AK & QQ. Write your answers on single spaced paper with a #2 pencil and turn in by the end of class.

4bets don't need to be this big at all. If it's goes 3bb - 10bb we can make it like 25bb and accomplish everything that the bigger bet does as far as the amount of pressure we're putting on our opponents. We're saying "Hey buddy you wanna play for stacks?" (although we don't always have to mean it).

36-40 BB is a horrible 4b size

40BB isn't terrible when you only 4bet KK+ and you're playing with retards who don't care and call anyway. Honestly fx should probably just be shoving or folding to 3bets.

I hope I have good month I got off to horrible start in jan and couldn't quite make it back by end of month and kinda took last week off. Including tourneys I made money tho so that's a plus. Hopefully this month I get off to good start and move up to 25nl by end of month.

I simply do not get how to beat rush. I mean do you have to become a super uber nit and totally change your mindset. I really enjoy playing it and would love to be able to put in a ton of volume. Tho if it's not gonna be profitable to me screw that. I haven't seen much strat on it.

Just don't bother if it's going to kill your mindset and affect your winrate. Load up a bunch of normal tables and enjoy making money.

Also, moved up and first session I get AA<44 in a 3-bet pot when he flops a set for stax. Then KK aipf loses to JJ cuz he spikes his two outer too. Still broke even for the session though. Moral victory!!!

Are you wanting to shove or make it 25-30 an give them the option of comeing back over the top for stacks.

Playing <10nl 4 bet shoving is prolly the way to go. When I've been reading strat stuff, 22-25bb 4 bet sizing seems to be the desired bet size as it allows you to 4bet bluff and get away from it if you miss or get shoved on (assuming it's gone something like 3bb, 10bb then you can size it at like 22-25bb). Also it give your opponents enough rope to spazz out.

But bet sizing should be dynamic.
