Enclosed are notes I took on last week's session. This is just data. I'm not looking for feedback but feel free to comment / discuss.
The game is a $1-$1 home game with a usual (50% of the time) straddle. The players in this game are regulars at this game but also at casinos and free poker bar games. It is quite common for players to buy-in for $100 at a time. Play loose aggressive until they go broke and buy again (bingo style). I can't say any of the players have a bankroll. No one walks in with $100 bills and many players Venmo their second and third buy-ins. This is frustrating at times because it is difficult to get paid off when chasing. Therefore, the strategy I've adopted is to buy-in for $400-$500 to cover everyone and always top off. My hand selection is snug.
Of the 100 hands played, I won eight and was +$250 for the session after the high hand bonus. This year I've played this game eight times with a record of 5 winning, 2 losing, and 1 break-even session. I'm up $500 this year.
The notes aren't perfect. I didn't take any for most hands except for starting hand and position. My actions are in bold italics. I used an App called HH Keyboard on my iphone which brings up a poker short-hand keyboard in the Notes app. I then transferred the notes to Excel.
