Is this pure spew?
Effective stacks sizes - 250bb deep + antes.
Thought process;
Villian had 3bet me a lot..and I folded a ton so this might be another 3bet steal (In which case I should 4bet right?) However, for some reason; I didn't 4bet and I'd be sick if he 5bet me so I thought being IP + implied
odds it might be ok.
Flop is some what connected, I guess it hits my flatting range more than his 3betting range in this spot. Only
hands he 3bet for value and c-bets this flop OOP here are probs A,Q/K,Q/JJ+ and all his air hands.
Flatting seems really bad and the worse option, even though he will likely check all his air on the turn we had a chance of taking it down.
Given maybe my perceived flatting range here, I guess I could be x/r an absolute ton of hands all flush draws/one pairs + straight draws & villian only continue with really big hands, sets/2pairs and even hands like K,Q are going to hate calling OOP in this spot and probs fold to a turn bet. Even A,Q is never going to be a fan of this OOP but is never going to want to 4bet me this spot.
Again though; it looks a bit spewy..thoughts but Is x/r the best option ? I think foldings to weak give we have postion and calling seems worse. Given we have postion + some
equity with gut shots is this a spot where we can x/r the flop and fire turn if checked too on lots of nice turns, like jx/8x/clubs etc?
Thoughts also on sizing?
