This is coming from a spazzy MTT reg, but from what I see in the hands you posted, you gotta learn to fold more! :D

K2s - Fold pre. Turn is a sighfold.

TT - Iso raise pre is fine, however I'm folding here to the 3bet. Highly doubt this guy is 3betting light from the BB here. Flop is a fold as well.

QQ - Check river, snap fold to the re-raise.

AT - Check flop, zero clue why you're triple barrelling such a bad runout for your range. This is just a pure spew.

TT - Check flop, wp as played on turn/river.

A5s - I like 3betting here pre if we're gonna play it, wp postflop.

42o - Never defend this, ever. Postflop looks fine.

76s - Wp, I probably 3bet pre.

44 - Fold turn, shove river.

J9s - Really gross, I think we have to much equity to not GII.

AA - 4betting pre here, wp postflop.

QQ - :D Nh.

A4 - Snap fold pre, flatting here is suicide against a NIT opening UTG. Flop is a fold as well (this is why we don't flat pre).

A3s - Call turn, there aren't really any bad rivers in the deck and we want to keep our range looking as weak as possible.

A7s - Make it like $3, looks a lot stronger than shoving here and gives you room to jam turn.

Thanks Trent... Yeah definetly need room to improve, my postflop is improving dramatically but yeah definetly a few loose calls pre. Yeah I wasn't looking to get folds A7s I was just going to gamble since I felt I was running like Jesus at this stage so I was happy to bring on the flips.

Anyways I thought i'd push myself a few more hundred hands, and if I was losing and annoyed I use to push to chase my losses. So rather than chase my losses i'm chasing my wins here.

Continued to win some more. so great choice :)

Wow after Jan 16 won't be able to play on 888.

At the end of the day it's all about money, if i'm playing poker i'm not gambling on poker machines or sports betting where the government definetly has their hands in it.

Hmmm not sure whats gonna happen now. Stars hasn't said anything yet.
But it's only time.

2017 progress
online: +$76
live:+$148

will be hoping to increase online over the $100 a bit later today

after a good solid day yesterday ill make sure i wont be too over confident and tighten my range up. Also avoiding early mornings. Tiredness will be no excuse

was good chasing wins and forcing myself to play when winnning and it paid off... its quite scarey to play when ur up and afraid to lose. So it makes no sense to play longer when youve lost. Just important habbits to break which im doing. Things are up

Doing ok and don't let a couple of losing live sessions get you down. We can't win every session if we are playing for max EV. Variance doesn't allow it. I'd only be concerned on the live front if there were too many good regs and not enough weaker players.
I'm running 8bi under expected ev in cash games so you are ahead of me online.
To borrow a phrase your game is starting to "round out nicely" I expect to see you continue doing well.

Thanks Fig, yeah i'm a bit more experienced now not with my game but ofc we know my games heading in the right direction. But my mental frame and I think i'm starting to understand and see the patterns and with time it'll become easier to manage which i'm starting to see first hand. I just hope stars stays open for Australia but it's doubtful. Will continue to play and improve any which way whether online or live.

Online is now +$99
and live :$148 ... I did skip sunday nights session at casino.

I'm not worried about good players at the casino and I feel they underrate me too easily. Last session at casino I just ran into some terrible hands and got very unlucky. It's bound to happen... the usual pattern happened but just didn't end up ontop that day and that is going to happen.

Now moving forward with todays session online, I folded AK a couple times with TPTK and I was right... though one time I folded I was correct but the suckout would've happened.

I think as long as I don't get too wide in my game it generally ends well online. But I think that's one of my edges, I can play postflop wider and get extra money where others don't... it works but still have to play with caution and discipline :) ... and also if tilting I need to adjust away from that game and fall back on a more default game. I also understand when your tilting and not playing your best your instincts can be totally wrong. But if your playing your A or your in the zone I can put people on exact hands.

Why would you ever call here against nit, well anything really but vs a big fish. Please check your EV for call from button, there might be a big hole.

I don't consider him a nit but just a tight reg. Tight regs when they hit they don't play many hands and will pay me off.

A4 vs AK and we flop 2 pair... he's going to pay me all the way. I have straight possibilities as well and no one 3bet so the pots reasonable and we have position.

and if no one hits, i'll take the pot down picking on weakness, even if I'm dominated I can generate folds pretty good and know some nice spots to bluff on :)

This is something I don't generally call when I am tilty or not feeling good, it has to be the type of play when I'm hand reading well.

todays Tuesday afternoon session

todays session +$34 over 1k hands... was going to quit around 600-700 but forced myself to play til 1k until I felt I was starting to slip from playing good.

Not about how much I made but rather how I'm playing. This is how one must think if to succeed in this game.

Got to keep pushing on with winning sessions... and stop playing losing sessions. :deal:

This is the hand which steamed me into the zone.... yes you can get angry/annoyed and use the extra energy to focus and make sure you play well. Works both ways, I was so unimpressed but I was so stubborn to make sure I wasn't going to do this again... I made some great laydowns like AA and some top pair again and this is usually the hands I don't fold when I'm playing C game.

I did end up playing a session yesterday afternoon and had a bad session -$70... so overall yesterday was just under -$50 which was a bit harsh.

Will need to really add in stop loss... just so I keep fresh for these winning sessions and play a lot longer today rather than yesterday.

Online profit now: +$70
live: +$148

Was a bit frustrating yesterday but felt I went a bit too wide... even after saying I wouldn't but seemed to have played a bit better today.

Won't dwell on bad graphs but will still log them in... just no need to put extra pressure... and continue business as usual.

Absolutely not surprised you got squashed here, the SB flat calling here is usually always TT+. These two players are tight and I think your 3bet of the opener is too ambitious as well. The small sizing of the check raise is another red flag to get out of the way. Typical milking sizing..pay attention to the stats... Will try an look at the rest later.

yeah was a simple fold on flop to his raise... but i had stupid idea he could be drawing and once i call the raise on flop im not going anywhere unfortunately. i made the bed i had to sleep in it

so what would be worse is calling the raise on flop and folding to him with bricks... on turn

but like i said fig i wasnt happy with this hand at all and c game me didnt find that fold... usually fold this on flop all day everyday but unfortunately yep i was playing bad at this particular time

Ah3h shove on the flop.
Don't like the call of the 3bet with this hand against 2 players, pre flop you are going to be a big dog and only going to hit a flush draw 1 in 11 and then you still have to hit it.
You don't have the odds to call so fold or shove. You say you get folds in this spot but he has full potted into 2 people and has nearly half his stack in the middle. He isn't folding very often in this scenario. I think you compound a pre flop mistake with another and got lucky. This isn't good buddy. I noticed in your stats your all in ev is well under 50%. This means you are losing more often than not in the big pots. This is something I suggest you think about.

Thursday morning session

Felt like i was playing good, odd mistake but did hit an upswing towards the end. All zoom tables were up 20+ which is a good indication things are going well. Unfortunately time for work.

Promising signs losing small amounts while things weren't going our way. A good rule of thumb is do not lose more in a single session that u can't win in a normal session.

Just wondering what kind of studying you're doing of your own hands? I ask because I notice a lot of your hands your calling 3-bets with low to middle pocket pairs, and I'm wondering if this is a losing play. Of course it could be the right play depending on the player, but I'm wondering if you're taking a look at certain spots where you yourself notice you might be losing often.

Im focusing on button vs blind play... im stretching myself there and learning my limitations...

if im calling wide oop then thats a real problem.. unless i gave a real edge or plan but even still thats usually going to be a problem no matter what
