888Poker announces biggest product overhaul in years



"The site is going to introduce a new poker client, Poker 8, Poker Fuse first reported. It will be launched on a phased rollout and will reportedly change the company completely.

In its H1 2018 report, 888 described Poker 8 as “a new and improved cross-territory poker platform,” stating, “We have worked with and taken feedback from our players and the new platform will improve the display of the tables, functionality in the lobby and enhance graphics to provide an even more engaging and modern poker experience.”


I hope that the "chat/info/stat" sidebar will be removed.
What is your thought about it?

This sounds great. I really think this room needs a fresh look. The lobby is sometimes hard to navigate and the fonts are just so small on my laptop.

I also very much dislike this sidebar for info/chat. Everytime I click on it is completely messes up my HUD. I find it very cumbersome for what should be a small chat interface.

Are they going to open up to US players?

If only they could process withdrawals faster, I'd play there... hate having my $ locked for a week

It sounds good all that innovation that the site of 888poker intends to make ... I hope it improves the graphic part that is more modern ... and that also offers good promotions for us players ..!

888 it's time to upgrade your poker client. The current software is terrible, it remained in the 90s

Agree, the chat/info/stat sidebar is the most inefficient part of the skin.

Let's see what happens . Hope that have them all done correctly . After the DDoS attack really do not want to have another poker client hanging !

Hopefully this includes a new RNG, these 4 same suit boards are hardly to believe true :icon_joke

I am just after cursing the whole tournament lobby for the past few days. Found out that the Level exclusive free rolls are under the "Poker Club" tab... haha!!

It could certainly use an update. I love their bonuses and free rolls though. Easily my favorite platform already!

I played like in 888 Poker, I didn’t like the room itself and didn’t like the layout of the cards, so it pisses me off. Today I recognize: pokerdom, pokerstars, party poker.
In my personal opinion, there is improved graphics and there is also the possibility of a good selection of offline tournaments.

DOES THIS MEAN I WON'T BE ABLE TO THROW SHIT?!?!?!?

I hope this means a more efficient use of space. The sidebar is too big. The whole "Euro widescreen" effect is just annoying. It covers tables on other sites which creates a situation where active tables don't pop up. I can't imagine multi-tabling 888 games. Each one would fill the screen. And less lags and crashes would be nice, but are sort of the opposite effect of "rolling out new stuff".

I'm used to the current platform so I'm not really hot on bringing major changes.

Plus if you get any tech problems (and I expect lots of them) then good luck with their support.

Im actually fine with the client!!!

I'd love if they tightened their withdrawal process to compete with pokerstars!

888 takes too long

That's great news if these changes will be actual improvements, so that the 888's client will look more like Pokerstars or partypoker. Opposite to MPN who also has launched a new client, but it turned out to be worse than previous one, imo.

Plz get rid of the throwing tomatoes and stuff,,,it's sooo juvenile and childish. It's great they're branching out into the U.S.

I would like them to change the withdrawal policy and add more payment systems.

I think it might be random but every link I click is nothing to do with what your saying or mentioning but takes me to random threads on hands being played / HHs

Maybe an increase in the number of tables in the cash games?
Allowed to open a maximum of 6 tables.

Are you on a mobile device or a computer? There could be a bug that needs to be worked out.
