This is a discussion on What is your poker bankroll and what type of games and buy-ins do you play most within the online poker forums, in the General Poker section; Here is mine:
playing 1,5$ heads up most
rarely mtts around 1$ and even more rarely spins 0,25$
Currently, my bankroll is $ 70. I play only in mt tournaments. Usually, the cost of my tournaments is not more than $ 1. By the way, 50% of my bankroll is the money that I managed to win in freerolls.
when I raise a bankroll somewhere up to $ 100 and more, I play in tournaments with a knockout of 1-2-3 dollars or in a cash game I play 0.02-0.05 cents or 0.05-0.10 cents and this is normal for me with such a bankroll, and now I play the game Spin-and-go 0.25 cents or $ 1 each because I have a $ 40 bankroll!
I do not have a bankroll. I love to shoot. if I win something more, I will pay and go on vacation. If I lose - I am making a deposit again. I have deposit and buy limits for this, so I will not go bankrupt. I am a recreational player - I have a stable financial income.
My poker bankroll consists of a little over a hundred dollars at BetOnLine and close to $200 at Juicy Stakes. Most of this bankroll is the result of freerolls I played in over the past ten years. Neither BetOnLine or Juicy Stakes are now offering freerolls so I am now mostly playing for "Play Money". Not overly exciting!!
re: Poker & What is your poker bankroll and what type of games and buy-ins do you play most
On Pokerstars, I deposited $200 and I'm curently up to around $550 (mostly from 4-5 bigger cashes). I play mostly $5 and $10 tournaments, but I'll generally play anywhere from $3 - $20 ones. I actually prefer the play in the $10 - $20 ones. The $3 and $5 ones tend to be much wilder.
My BR is currently around $50, I am mostly playing Sit N Gos, I enjoy MTTS but most of the good ones are out of my BR management strategy. On the other hand I feel like at $50 I should just take some slightly risky chances, it is not like it is impossible to rebuild at this point either.
I actively use accounts at three rooms (888, Pokerstars and Natural8) to play $1 buyin SNGs and MTTS
I have no need to hold big ammount of funds because I use it only to make a small deposit of $10 to a appropriate room
After transfer fees I started with $24.75 last month, and now I have $76.49
Still curious what the catch was to the $50 spinning card ACR bonus but I'll take it ha. Also should have a deposit match bonus coming my way in about a month. So made a couple bucks on my own, but it's mostly been bonus money helping me out.
Hopefully soon I can get some more freeroll money added on too.
I have been trying a progressive bankroll. I started with 200 buy-ins for micro SNGs. If I win 4 buy-ins for next stakes level on a given day I can use 2 buy-ins. Any gains are reset at the end of the day. If I lose for the day at the lowest level, it carries to the next day and I have to keep grinding until I make up the losses and win an additional 4 buy-in at the next stakes.
It is getting kind of annoying. This might be too conservative an approach. I am at around 400 buy-ins for the lowest level. 80% of my gains are from freerolls though.
I started by putting in a $40 bankroll. Eventually I brought this up to just over $100 with mostly spin and gos until I promptly lost it! Lol. Mostly free rolls now until I build back up, but spin and gos suit my lifestyle right now. I don’t always have hours to donate to tournaments.
mine is 0 lost my 100 monthly in a crazy tilt last week after i made them 230
i surely need to find my touchstone between bankroll management
winning format and being profitable in a way that makes sense
