I only play live against friends, who aren´t good if i am honest, so i do not know in which type i am a better player. I should play mid stakes live tourneys to find out :)

Unfortunately only played live with friends. Probably fun to play on the big live tournaments.

Are You Better At Online Poker Or Live?
No question live. Online the hands are so phony its hard to play good poker. Sometimes online you just have to play bingo like all the idiots. I swear the online game rewards those bingo players so they actually think they are good so they will make real money deposits(and loose it all lol).:D

I'd rather live, but I have too many opportunities to play live so online game, rarely playing live, when they undertook a tour in my area. In terms of playing live is safer than online.

Even though I've won my share of online tourneys, my most recent live tournament experience, placing 4th of 172 in a UK Nationals qualifier, I've found it more settling playing through 10-hour live tourneys, over 4-hour online tourneys.

The live experience, and personal interaction is unparalleled. The convenience of online poker doesn't make up the difference.

Live > Online

It depends on people and their game styles, but live events usually well-paid and it even better then online. So, it is your choice where to play.

Live poker outways online poker by far, I find online poke to be more cut throat. Players tend to bluff more often, or play the "donkey" poker and have no respect for others. Online poker is rife for insults and verbal abuse, just my opinion of online poker

I would have to say I am better playing online. I really have no skills in trying to read people and I am sure players can read me like an open book.

live is always harder. the buy ins always bigger and there are a lot less fishy players. online is not the cake walk that ppl make it out to be but compared to live poker its easier to build a BR with good table selection and BR management.

Live poker, I am way ahead . In fact I had winning streak that lasted 4 years back around in the 1990s , where I made more money each year at live poker, then my regular 40 hr a week job.

When it comes to online poker, I cannot beat it . Im not a big loser online, but I may be down a little bit and this is over the course of several years of online play. In fact, there was only 1 online poker site, where I seemed to have decent luck at. That was party poker , when I used to play there before Bush passed the ports law, banning online poker in America. I averaged around $500 win per month on party poker for about 1 year. All the other poker sites { probably 6 or more Ive tried} I never get any good luck streaks . In fact, I dread getting KK or AK in hold em online, because it loses for me around 78% of the time ive gotten it { per my online poker tracking software} over the last 2 years of play. That is astoundingly bad luck for 2 of the top hands you can be dealt pre-flop. Ironically, my favorite pocket pair preflop in hold em online ,is 2/2. It wins more pots for me, then any other pocket pair or 2 face cards.

I have tried to play KK, every possible way...limp in, raise 3x blinds pre...all in pre...and it doesnt matter how I play it, it loses 70-80% of the time online for me and im not talking about statistics of getting KK..4 or 5 hands in a few weeks. Im talking getting it 100 times in the course of the year and it consistently knocks me out of tourneys or side games.

Certainly it is a live poker game ... but gambling for money is prohibited by law in Russia, so the Internet is becoming a good alternative.

Its completely different, playing online you can improve faster by playing many hands, and playing offline it is different expierence, you play only 1 table and time moves slower.

About the same with both. Live is better though because then you can actually get a read on the players better and is more entertaining than online.

I am better on line but live poker is more glamorous, I normally dress up and bring my mojo and guns. :drunken_s
