And how big is your bankroll now as a result? Did you turn it into more money right away or did you have to deposit multiple times to get into positive bankroll numbers?
$0 up to about $50.... looking like a long climb out of the micro though.

I started with $100 and lasted for awhile, then I went to freerolls, and after a lot of work, I have about $700.

The first deposit of $ 5 made through Webmoney.
At the moment, in our country, this system is blocked:(

$20 at partypoker to see "how it is" (and release the cashout) without having studied the game before, did not last long... Currently, stable.

I've never actually made one and only play micro-stakes but have cashed out for $200 so far and have a small ($20) bankroll sitting there. I play off and on, leaving it for long spells then returning again.

When I joined PS, I received tickets for a few freerolls. From the tickets, I won about $2 that I used to grind away with 10-25 cent SnG's and micro cash games until my first $150 cash out. I requested another $50 recently and will try to build the remaining 20 back up to at least $100 before casing out again.

Poker is a hobby for me, so even though it's basically free money, I still practice prudent bankroll management and have never dented it badly.

My first deposit was $20

After my first deposit I slowly lost it all an eventually turned to just freerolls. I did qualify for both of Pokerstars television shows but either me or my video was not the right fit for TV.
One of the shows was "Loose Canon" and the other was ... oops, senior moment.

I made $20 deposit cause it was minimal to let them know my bank card details for withdrawal. Managed to climb up to $800 in my first month with free $50, it was about 10 year ago.
Since then I never deposit to any poker room and always build my bankroll with free options. I think for past 10 years I have deposited around $200 in total to 8 different poker rooms, and cashed out much much more... I think it's the best method to deal with online poker rooms. Their profit is the rake, they want active regulars who generate lots of rake, and that's what you must do if you want to be winning player. I believe that it's 50/50 for each 1$ of rake generated you have 1$ in your bankroll. If you win $1000 in a tourney, but you've generated like $5 in rake, and you cashed it out, then you will have a long long losing line. That's my personal experience.

My opinion

I made many deposits. Cashed sometimes. Lost most of the time. But reality that poker. Back to work. For another run. Its really luck thats going to save something like calling snake eyes by kissing the dice in casino or getting a blackjack in casino with a coupon, Some odd bet with similar odds are ok. Really GOD wants the stupid ones. Hates clever but can win.

Sounds like you're doing something right to be able to be building up those accounts!

I'd advise to NOT hold yourself back! I did this after having played for ~1yr., instead of forcing myself to increase the buyin levels I was playing at. A big part of this was fear of failure. I was winning at the levels I was playing at and didn't want to risk it going the other way.

Honestly if you want to get good enough to beat the micro stakes (ie. 2nl) then you REALLY need to just start playing them! As well as studying, the best thing you can do is to just DO IT! Getting oneself to stick to freerolls is only going to carry you so far in other games... games that you'll likely enjoy MUCH more!

Maybe you need to find a mentor to help give you that push & to build up confidence?

Good luck... don't hold yourself back. I have a feeling that online poker will only get tougher as time goes by. There are PLENTY of bad players still playing, waiting to hand you their chips so perhaps get going while the going is still good?

played about 10 tournaments in the money did not fall .. I want to play about 50 then you can say that..What do you think? Tell me?

Luck is important, of course, but being stupid you can only win once)

I've never made a deposit, if you need a warehouse for a promotion, to a withdrawal of any poker room to deposit in another and so, I have always made money in freerolls.

And I like most of the players here I decided not to make a deposit and try only with Freeroll. tournaments but so I did not get and made a deposit $ 20 I think so my game was released, but if you succeed without depositing it the better option

Been living on the sign up bonus since August, but very close to having to make a deposit (unless I make the money in some freerolls soon)

What was your biggest tournament win?

I deposit 50$ and lost after playing micro stake and tourneys after about a month.

I just started $ 10. For now, this is to be allowed to play the СС freerolls. This was needed on Partipoker and 888.
